I am a new writer. I really like to get into the motivations and hopes of the characters I make or play for games. I welcome any advice about improving my stories or characterizations.

Just completed my first story here. Please let me know what you think of it.

Writing and posting to the net...wow. More challenging, in various ways, than just dreaming up stories.

1) the stories themselves. It is relatively easy to come up with cool ideas. A lot harder to make them work with words on a page, compared to just in my head. I believe I need to develop my writing skills to allow for a greater richness of feeling, beyond simple plot or dialogue, in my writing.

2) putting them out there. Its kinda shocking how the insecurities come crashing down when anyone might see my attempts at creativity. On this site, there is the minimal expectation of the readers wanting something like what I am trying to write. Still...

Based on the above, I am very likely to start stories which I am unable or too insecure to continue posting, either for a little while or maybe forever. Please be patient and/or forgiving.
