Author has written 3 stories for Sci-Fi, and General.
Atlantech is an original series I've been developing over the course of a decade now. There's a lot to it where the story is concerned, so I've had to break it up into separate parts. There are the prelude stories which will be showcased here, and then there are the novels which will be published in the near future.
I've not only written and developed the story and characters, I've designed them as well and also paint many digital portraits of them. I will also feature some of that work here, especially because I like to show others what they look like. Their designs are on the cartoony side and there is a tad of an anime influence involved.
Also, the theme of Atlantech has always been old and vintage, even though the first saga takes place in the year 4000.
The main place of origin, Atlantis City, is heavily art deco and roaring twenties themed with a pinch of 30's in there. I always liked the idea of a not so futuristic setting, because to me it stands out better and gives me an excuse to combine my love of 20's and 30's style and fashion with science fiction. I also love old tattered sepia or black and white pictures. They tell a story about that person that today's photography just can't do.
Being that Atlantech is science fiction, there are aliens and I've played around with ancient history in order to develop them as well. There's a heavy ancient Egyptian influence and I've based a lot of their history on the stories from such television shows as "Ancient Aliens." Why not?
Anyway, rather than ramble on I'm just going to say that if you love science fiction and character development, then you will love Atlantech. I know I love it. It's been a huge part of my life in the last decade and I don't ever regret missing out on social norms when I spent the time working on it. It's been my anti drug and the one thing to pull me out of the darkness that is depression. I can say that with certainty, I am 100% dedicated to this project. It's my baby and I don't know what I'd do without it.
