I'm a student from South Africa, who is currently studying English and Classics. My ambition is to be a writer - both of fiction and of academic texts. My research interests are in the areas of feminism and women's studies, post-modernism, the poetry of Dickinson and Plath, Asian writing, children's literature and medieval literature. One day, I'll work out how to combine all of them. ^.~
When I'm not working, I have too many hobbies for my own good. I write (well, duh!) prose and poetry. I do origami, decoupage and fabric painting. I rollerblade. I love comics of all kinds: US superhero comics like X-Men and JLA, as well as manga. Obviously, the same goes for anime, with my faves being Ranma 1/2, OMG, Fushigi Yuugi, Serial Experiments Lain, and . . . of course . . . Digimon!
Because of my interest in manga and anime, I'm learning Japanese. This means that I do dodgy translations of Digimon. I'm a member of the Digimon Fansub Project, and I'm one of the translators for Wolf Pack Productions.
I also speak French, Spanish, Latin and Afrikaans, so feel free to use any of those!
About my fanfiction*
Okay, the next part of A Storm Over Blossoms *is* finished. I promise. It's with my betas right now. I've also almost finished the first chapter of Dancing Lessons, with which I've had a lot of fun. In the meantime, I've uploaded the next chapter of The Tale of Hikari, which I truly hope you enjoy.
I don't want to run the risk of losing this account, nor do I want to break any of the site rules. It's only right to respect them. So, I've taken down all my Digimon AdventureFrontier translations. However, they are all available at my site at http:///anime4/professionalangel. If you have requested any of them or if you're just interested in them, please visit that site and do get in touch with me through the e-mail here or there. I love hearing from you!
