Starfall

When the Sun begins to mysteriously cool, physicist Michael Jenning cannot understand why he and his team can't find the cause. Despite working around the clock, the only thing they've been able to determine is that the Sun will go out in a scant four days, approximately--and there seems to be no way to stop it. He tells his two daughters, seventeen-year-old Seren and fifteen-year-old Liane, about the impending doom, unable to lie to them the way he's lying to the rest of the world.

That night, the sisters are visited by an ethereal womanlike being, calling herself the Guardian of Eternity, who claims to know why the Sun is going out and how to stop it. If the girls want to learn, they must go with her. Transported to a strange place called the Infinity Dimension--which seems to behave like theoretical physicists claim the fifth dimension should--the two girls learn the truth behind the Sun and the stars. With their only hope for saving the Earth being a dark and dangerous road alone inside a Shadow too dark to pierce, Seren and Liane find their strengths tested, mind and heart and will and morality put into question, and even their love and trust for each other becomes unreliable as the girls face a foe beyond anything any human has ever seen and confront a world of half-truths. Nothing is as it seems, and Seren and Liane will be forced to make a choice in the end--a choice that will determine the future of the human race.

And, just as war cannot be fought without a price, the world cannot be saved without a sacrifice...

We Walk Among Them

Once upon a time, long, long ago, the universe was ruled by the Triad Chaos, Time, and Order. Chaos the youngest, Order the eldest, with Time the balance in the center, Mother, Maiden, and Crone watched over the universe from afar, the unseen watchers of the world.

Then it happened: sentience appeared. On a tiny backwater planet in a nameless corner of the universe, Humans evolved, and with them came Free Will. The balance of the universe turned on its head, and to right it the Triad decided to end Humans and their pesky Free Will.

But in order to destroy something, one must first understand how it works...

Maia Sanchez is 13 when the stars appear in her eyes. When she suddenly can describe the beginning of the universe as though she were there.

When she realizes she can control Time with a thought.

As her memories begin to return, memories of life as a goddess, Maia seeks out her sisters, desperate to make sense of what's happening to her. She finds seven-year-old Eris halfway across the United States and convinces young Chaos to take a road trip with her, searching for the eldest of their family.

But becoming Human has had more effects on the Triad than they'd expected.

It turns out that destroying Free Will isn't so simple after all...

Dance (Unofficial title, would appreciate feedback on it) reviews
New poem. A bit different than the usual poetry I write. Notice the pattern (I wont spoil it, find it yourself); was completely unintentional when I first noticed it, then I made it a part of the poem. *stanza* indicates a break (formatting is tetchy and wont do it on poems)

Bells
This is an older poem; I wrote the first verse of it a little over 4 years ago. it varies from my usual dark themes, but is hopefully still enjoyable. NOTE: as it is older, this poem is not at the same level of skill as my others. (I have added a *stanza break* in my newly posted poems as the formatting doesn't do that)

Cursed reviews
"Cursed" was a poem that started as one thing and ended up very different. Of course, often stories do that when the characters are determined to have their way, but with poems it is less common. Enjoy!

"End" is a poem with an interesting story. I actually came up with it while I was riding my horse! Anyways, enjoy!
