Name: Just call me Autumn

Medium: Mostly poetry, maybe I'll throw on some original fiction or creative writing someday.

Habit: I'll probably rarely be here because people scare me and I'm a busy little bee.

Personality: A bit shy, sweet, friendly, goofy at times, and with more than a few sarcastic bones in my body. I sometimes jokingly make up words when proper English just doesn't fit well enough. A friend of mine, "Ghost," frequently 'steals' these words which I'm totally okay with.

Hobbies: Writing, reading, photography, embroidery, and too much else to be named. I tend to try a little of everything.

Oddities: I've got a thing for gargoyles - at least in an artistic manner - and collect them. My office is full of gargoyles, mostly cast resin, and references to gargoyles tend to pop up in my writing. If you judge my voice by my writing, you'd never recognize me. My favorite season is Autumn and my favorite weather is heavy rain.

Anything else: Uh...yeah, if you want to know more, just PM me or something. If you recognize my writing or anything from IRL or other sites, please keep it to yourself - I value my privacy.

Honestly, I don't know how often I'll be on this site but I'm willing to give it a try. What could it hurt?

Spring Rapture
Rebirth and renewal are as common in nature as flowers are in gardens, and Heaven is full of seedlings. Come into the garden with me - together we'll wait for rain. This quirky little bit of free-verse started as an Easter challenge. I was stumped, perplexed. Finally, the poem grew like a showy weed, took over, and ran a completely different direction than I meant it to.

Eternal Fragments
Not long ago, I rediscovered a collection of admittedly horrible poetry from when I was much younger - poetry which was often left unfinished. "Another eternal fragment," I announced to the room in general, "Another muse which left too soon." Some poems are destined to remain unfinished; this is not one of them.

Falling and Flying
Some love affairs are fast, short-lived, and end in complete disaster. In such cases, we can't always be sure whether we're falling or flying, or even if the two are really that separate.
