Hello! I'm Sardhrantor. The a's are pronounced like the a in father, and the dh is pronounced like the th in the. The accent is on the first syllable. Welcome to my profile!

--ABOUT ME--

I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth
and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only-begotten Son of God,
begotten of His Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light,
very God of very God,
begotten, not made,
being of one substance with the Father,
by whom all things were made;
who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven
and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.
He suffered and was buried.
And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures
and ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of the Father.
And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead,
whose kingdom will have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified,
who spoke by the prophets.
And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church,
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins,
and I look for the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Copy the above three paragraphs onto your profile and add your name to the list if you believe every word. Please don't change anything. Sardhrantor

Because of my Christian faith, you will not find any slash, femslash, incest, bestiality, or foul language in my stories. If I do write about evil, I do not pretend that it is good. I show it for what it is, but not in explicit detail. My stories will not be any worse than a T-rating.

I also have an account on FanFiction by the same name.

You can call me Maeril or Sardh for short, but please don't call me Sard, or Ranter, or anything nasty of the sort. Thanks. :P

I like studying Sindarin. For those of you who don't know, in Tolkien's world (i.e., The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, etc.), Sindarin is the common form of Elvish spoken in the Third Age of Middle-earth. Quenya was a language reserved for old poems and things (like the Latin of today). I've never bothered to learn Quenya (though it is on my bucket list), so please don't come crying to me with your Quenya questions. My pen name is actually a Sindarin name I constructed myself based on Sindarin naming rules. Sardhrantor literally means "stoneminer", the name I call myself on Minetest. Maeril, one of my preferred FictionPress nicknames, means "musician" or "poet", which are two of my favorite things to do.

I like to write stories (obviously), listen to music (classical and some contemporary), play music on several instruments (although there are only two instruments I practice regularly), draw pictures, compose music, read original fiction, read fanfiction of the original fiction I like, and several other things.

Here are my favorites lists (in no particular order):
