Author has written 1 story for Fantasy.
NOTE: I'd like to extend my deepest regrets to everyone who followed Ember expecting a novella and has seen it bloom into a full-length novel along the way; it wasn't until I started rewriting/filling in some of these later chapters from scratch that I realized just how many words it would take to reach The End. That said, my outline still stands. I DO know where the story is going, and I hope you choose to stick around a while longer if you're enjoying the updates. Thank you so much for all your views, follows, favorites, and kind words! Your continued interest has meant the world to me. In return, I shall endeavor to provide the most memorable journey (and satisfying conclusion) that I possibly can. Many, many thanks!
Hello, fellow wayfarer!
Things I post here are mostly likely in the middle stages of the writing process: not quite a first draft, but still in desperate need of polishing. At the moment I have only one story-in-progress posted entitled "Ember," and if you like high fantasy, unlikely heroes, magical adventures, and sirens or merfolk, you should definitely give it a read. Or even if you don't - what do you have to lose? It's free, after all! I apologize in advance if I don't upload every week faithfully, but I'll do my best! I'm working on a few big writing projects and many other non-writing related projects, so "Ember" is, unfortunately, relegated to my spare time.
Obviously I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts and I'll try my best to respond to each review (odds are, I'll update faster if I know that you're interested in hearing more), but either way I'm happy you stopped by and I sincerely hope you enjoy what you find!
My favorite genres are Fantasy, SciFi, and "Old Books" (Austen, Stevenson, Lewis, Tolkien), which is primarily what I grew up reading. I suppose that encompasses Historical, Action/Adventure, and Romance as well! I am a character-first novelist and my own writing is a mixture of all of those things.
- Making people laugh
- Vanilla smoothies
- Letters (the snail mail kind)
- Books and films that don't end happily
- Pesticides (they kill bees and butterflies!)
- Coyotes screaming in the night...
Ember (novel) Medieval Fantasy/Romance
A young fisherman named Ember encounters one of the fabled "river folk" in a stream near his cabin - and finds himself unwittingly drawn into a world of dark magic and perilous secrets. Rated T for violence and some thematic elements.
