Author has written 2 stories for General, and Fantasy.

Hello! Welcome to my Profile!

I have been writing for quite a few years now, mostly for my own benefit and entertainment rather than others', keeping them to myself. I write mostly fantasy fiction stories but I do write some poetry and the VERY occasional realistic fiction as well; I am a fan of reading and watching fictional works, specifically sci-fi and especially fantasy, as non-fiction works tend to bore me. This is only because I'm one of those people always stuck with my head in the clouds dreaming about out-of-this-world scenarios and places. Realistic fiction doesn't really suit my fancy either as, though it is a work of fiction and therefore not real, I sometimes get bored with the normal world plots. That being said, yes I know that I may have one or two works of realistic fiction on here that lack any sort of magic or supernatural happenings but like I said, SOMETIMES they bore me. I am a very chatty person when talking or messaging someone back and forth but when it comes to things like this, I'm afraid I have precious little to actually say.

As for my works on here, I do enjoy feedback, good and bad. Let me elaborate on the "bad" part, I mean "bad" as in constructive criticism not just blatant down-putting or hate mail. I do have plans to hopefully publish one day and so I welcome as many tips or pointers or suggestions as people are willing to give. I am definitely not stuck in the mindset that my work is perfect, I know there are probably flaws that I don't see or ways that I could structure things differently that I haven't thought about. So yes, if you have a comment, leave it and know that I appreciate it. Before I finish, I would like to say don't think I only want to hear comments about my work or requests for other work, I welcome questions, idle chit-chat, and even the occasional long conversation. If you feel the overwhelming need to address me directly in a review or messages, Hayden or Elliot is fine. I know that I always get somewhat anxious when talking to someone new and not knowing how they want to be addressed so this is for the benefit of you other people out there like me.

My Policy on Using my Works

As long as you ask or let me know that you are using my work in something you are doing I am fine with it and am flattered that you enjoy my work enough to want to use it. If you do use a character, place, or idea from one of my stories, please do send me a link to it or sample of it! I would love to see how another person uses it in their own story. One last thing, if what you used is large enough or central to your own story, I do request that you give me credit where it is due please, that way the recognition can be spread around. I am a tiny bit more picky about this part in that I would prefer being referred to as Hayden E. Yates, my pen name on here.

Taken By Darkness Broken Destiny Fates of Heaven The Last Play of Araxis: Rebellion Wish

Yes, yes, I've many stories started or waiting for me to dust them off again and none finished but a short story and some poems and am only actively working on one right now, I know, it's ridiculous. But unfortunately, I often fall victim to distraction due to various things or because of my studies, I'm also prone to becoming bored quickly and looking for something else to do so I have many things to jump around to.

Well, that seems to be it, I've no more to say. I might put up short summaries of my stories later so readers can skim through and get a better idea of what they're about than from the tiny blurbs that come with the stories.
