Poll: I will write a song about the most-voted word Vote Now!
Author has written 28 stories for Song, General, Romance, and Haiku.
Hi! It's SaltwaterExtended here!
Quick note- my poll is now open (and the most voted thing "wins" and will be written as a song).
Other things I'm on:
Fanfiction (like Sonic The Hedgehog?): SaltwaterJanuary
Deviantart (still learning): Silvernight25
Youtube: SomedayDreaming (I am just a beginner there)
Here's a few things about my writing:
I am planning to become an author (I'm writing a few science fiction novels), because of this I will not post any of those stories here. I will post, however, some song lyrics and poems that I wrote. (I like to write songs a lot). I write songs on a lot of differing things...most have animal themes to them, because I like to compare human circumstances and attributes to different animals. Just because I find it interesting, I guess. Heheh.
A few things about my reviewing:
I like to help other future authors and poets by reviewing, and though I am a beginner to it, I try my best to improve the way I review. If I read something here, I will review it. (Because I'm pretty sure that when you post something, you do want to hear what others think of it). Of course, I never "flame" or anything. My goal is to give constructive criticism and also tell others what I do find interesting and unique about their writing.
If you want something reviewed, just ask!
I also like any feedback I get on my own short stories or songs, so if you can please let me know what you think. I usually will always reply to reviews, unless they're guest reviews of course.
I'm available for beta-reading, too. Check out my beta-reader profile if you're interested.
About me (to make this interesting, I'm going to speak like wikipedia here):
SaltwaterExtended is an aspiring author who hopes to someday inspire with her stories, as she has been inspired with others. She is currently writing her first novels, and writes other songs and fanfics as a pastime, and to keep her writing sharp.
She has several other hobbies including reading, drawing, singing, dancing, acting, voice-acting, and cats. Cats are a hobby, or so she says. (She can be a bit obsessed with them at times).
She is learning to play guitar, but she is also learning two languages: French and Japanese. She likes to keep busy it seems.
She's also been a non-denominational Christian for several years now. (See further down on this page for more on this).
Personality-wise, she tries her best to be considerate, kind, and caring. She is very friendly, but in-person she is sometimes very shy. Most tests proclaim she is 49% introvert and 51% extrovert. She is also very optimistic, though also considering herself a realist as she takes things as they come (but hopes for the best). Her downsides are that she is overly-emotional at times, a bit too hyper, and she can tire easily when she pushes herself too hard.
...thank you for reading. XD
The story of how I became a Christian :
I'm not forcing you to read this, but this is something that I live for and truly believe...and so I want to share it.
When I was younger (years before I joined this site) I attended a VBS my friend invited me to. I always was taught the Bible from the start, but to be honest, it never really mattered to me. Until that one day at VBS.
I remember that they were teaching the"ABC's of Faith" and it stuck with me.
A- was for Admitting to God that I had gone against His ways, and choosing to turn from my old way. B- was for believing that Jesus is God's son and that He came and sacrificed himself so that I might be saved. (So that everyone would have a chance to be rescued). C- was for confessing my faith in Him, and choosing to live my life for Him.
I always knew this "Good News" they spoke of, but it didn't hit me until then. I had never done anything "terribly bad" or so I thought. I'd never "really" sinned.(Or otherwise gone against God). Yet, I had. I had done things that were against God, such as lying, and though I thought it was nothing, it was sin. And sin separates us from God, and eventually leads to Hell. I realized that I had never asked forgiveness for my sins, and I had never trusted in God.
So I prayed that I'd be forgiven, and I trusted and believed in Him.
I grew a lot in faith over the years, and honestly it was hard for me to really live for God. It still is sometimes, and I always will have struggles, but when I think of God's sacrifice for me- He gave His son, Jesus, to die on a cross, take on His wrath against sin, and then rise again to life to prove sin beaten- I realize how much He loves me, and it makes me want to live for Him.
God is both just and forgiving. He has to punish sin, but He provided a way out of it if we choose to take it. I couldn't earn it on my own, I had to humble myself and accept His mercy and grace. And He offers salvation to any who confess and turn to Him.
As a Christian, I am told to share this message, and to be unashamed of His Word. That is what I aim to do.
I know that lots of people believe many different things, and that a lot disbelieve the Bible because of science. But I think that the Bible and science do not truly conflict, and that the Bible also has many valid points to it, even through all the years.
If you want, I'm open to talking about this God I know. I may not know the answer to everything, but I can share what I might know.
I hope to see you around!
