I've just started out writing children's fiction and have recently finished my first novel of 30,000 words - currently editing most of it again and again. The book is aimed at the 10-12 year range. My goal is to make the kids laugh and hopefully make a few feel happier about life in general.

I have four children around the age I'm writing for, but understand they are biased and all feedback they give can't be taken seriously. Thank goodness, because they hate it! Only joking. Well at least they don't tell me they hate it.

My favourite authors are Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

I accept I have a great deal to learn and thankfully I'm enjoying the process of studying the craft.
