Author has written 4 stories for Spiritual, Horror, and Thriller. I apologize for the rambling nature of this intro, but to be absolutely transparent, I’m Indiana Jones-ing this thing in as much as making it up as I go along. There’s no doubt I have no idea or plan about what I’m trying to accomplish, I’m just trying to do a thing. Part of this is that I do want to get better at getting myself out there, taking chances and whatnot, and this is something I’ve felt for a while I should try. A little bit about myself for those with any inkling of interest: My name is Dusty and I’m a Christian man who loves movies and stories of any medium. Books, comics, games, movies, whatever. There was a time in my life when I devoured things I loved, much like anybody in Geek culture. I’m a full-grown adult now with the responsibilities that come with, including being a full-time dude married to a full-time woman with three young kids who have their own things I need to be a part of, but there’s still that part of my soul that latches onto the geek nature of myself. Part of that was regurgitating things I loved out into my own creative writing. None of this was done with any intention of it going anywhere in any sort of professional realm, just that it was my outlet to express things I loved in my own way. So yes, once again with the transparency, I did dabble in a fan-fictiony time of writing on the net way back in the day before it has become what it is now. For me, that was just fun, practicing what I loved to do with characters I liked. Was it good? Not so much, but there were people who liked the things that I liked that seemed to get a kick out of it. Anyways, I bring up that I’m a Christian for the simple fact that it does inform some of my writing. You might find things here that are purely Christian and a lot of things that aren’t, but everything is informed by my belief system. That might turn some off that would want to read my stuff (if anyone does at all). The point is, if you’re a Christian reader or writer that finds something here of value, that’s awesome. If you’re not a Christian reader or writer, please don’t disregard, I enjoy most things. There may be something for you. I tend to enjoy writing about the fantastical, the creepy, the occasional romantic (rarely), or a combination of all that. Prepare to wallow in mediocrity! |
