Author has written 2 stories for Romance.

If I had a dollar for every story idea I've had or every story I've attempted to write, I'd be pretty rich by now.

I've been an avid writer since the age of 10 but was never able to commit! My writing journey's been a long one, with breaks in between. Inspiration from reading sparked the initial dream of becoming published. I loved the process of writing, putting words to paper and making fiction come to life. It didn't matter that no one would read my writing or that I was a terrible writer. I loved creating stories, even more so when writing became an escape from the mundane but necessary routines of life. I wrote for enjoyment, for fun. And then someone introduced me to fictionpress and the idea of sharing my writing.

For years, I became lost. My initial purpose of writing for enjoyment became superimposed by the purpose of getting my writing out. I lost the spark of enjoyment, that thrill that came with story-telling. I missed those moments where I'd giggle to myself at things my characters had done (Call me insane, but sometimes I really do chuckle aloud at my characters as I write). But through all that, I learnt so much. I learnt about story structure, planning, good writing language.

Now half that's thrown out the door. Screw planning. Screw the typical structures and expectations. I just wanted to write, to enjoy the process once more. So that's what I did (and you'll be happy to know that I did have a few giggles along the way). I'm still floundering and figuring out what works for me, but this time, I think I may be onto something. I haven't given up on my dream yet so please don't give up on my writing - give them a chance! We've all got to start from somewhere right?
