Spent Waves reviews
A short story about a man choosing between life or death in a split second. Inspired by real experience and the movie 'Trainspotting'. I wrote this several years ago, so it may not be up to the par of my other stories, but I think it's worth the read.

My first- and, so far, only- novel. It is essentially an adventure novel set in post-apocalyptia, with two main characters: Frank Davies and Stephen Pirotensa. There is a large supporting cast of characters beyond these, but they are the only ones followed by third person limited narration. If you enjoy reading about quests, bandits, and treachery, you will likely enjoy this.

Depend on Me
A Hemingway-type short story that deliberately leaves much to the imagination. It's a first and probably only attempt: I'm not such a fan of Hemingway. The basic premise is a boy and his mother having a conversation, loaded with meaning, in their kitchen late at night. Based on arguments overheard.

Refutation of 'Self-Reliance'
In whatever limited capacity I may have as a rhetor, I attempt to address my complaints with Emerson's 'Self-Reliance', which I believe to be somewhat overrated. I am not a detractor of Transcendentalism as a whole, but there are certain issues that exist within this seminal work.

On the Morality of Order Above All Else
My understanding of the moral codes that are imposed by man upon man. This is not necessarily a work of fiction: it is a short document detailing a small moral focus of mine.

A Pleasant Walk, A Pleasant Talk
One day, an ordinary man is spoken to by an otherwise ordinary stone on the beach. I have a deep love for the inexplicable in stories, the more unexplainable the better. This is my attempt at capturing a little Kafka in a mild story about the mysteries that may persist in this world beyond human understanding.

Hedone the Deliverer, God-king of Southern Virginia
The arrival of a cultist with a larger-than-life personality, the worshipper of a forgotten god, has a profound impact on the day-to-day life of a small town in southern Virginia. With the help of a cultivated army, the man seizes control of the city and prepares to make his mark on folklore. Based on a conversation with madmen.
