A writer writes because the story is there, needing to be told. Whether or not what he writes is read by anyone else is immaterial. I have been writing for more years than most on these boards have been alive, and have boxes and boxes of finished manuscripts. Only recently, however, have I turned to the Star Wars universe to take pen in hand. And this is a first--for I have never written for reader consumption, never cared whether what I wrote was ever seen or read by anyone else. I posted my latest work here on a whim--and find that I enjoyed the process and the feedback. So maybe, I'll continue here, for a while.

For anyone who might wonder why someone my age (and, no, I'm not going to tell you what that is) would be interested in Star Wars, let me remind you that this is a classic confrontation between good and evil, and an allegory of our own times. I find it completely satisfying.
