Attention! I have finally finished moving and rebuilding my site, at least mostly! Go check out wind child v 3.0 [Beauty] and make me a happy Kaze-chan by signing my guestbook and telling me what you think ^_^

After having the same bio since mid-January, I decided I was up for a change. So let's see, what about me should I tell y'all? Well, first, that I say "y'all" sometimes: that's right, born and raised a Southern girl. But no, I don't have the accent. Love trees, love being warm, love cats, love SLEEP, love reading, love music, love several things. No guy now, or not exactly (weird story), and pretty much never (ties back with that weird story). Too busy. Getting a job (just applied at the movie theatre on 1-19) and getting MONEY.
I'm obsessive-compulsive about some things. I always have to know the time. Even when my watch strap broke over the summer, I carried it around with me. I love being warm - which can be a curse, since my school's one temperature this year seems to be "arctic." The cold that gets into your bones and won't go away for half an hour. I check my e-mail about once every twenty minutes lately, so if you mail me I'll get it fast. Replying'll take longer though. I need to find some place to play basketball again, I need to get in better shape, and running or walking is just too monotonous. I always carry pens and pencils around with me - on my necklace! And I've been known to spend more than one Physics class ignoring the teacher and scribbing bits of fics.
Love writing. Yup, better, or I wouldn't be here. I've finally got an idea I feel I can turn into a book; right now it's in the planning stages. It's VERY wacky, but I think I can do it. Some people might call me crazy for it, but I'm not - I just think about things differently. Watch me move to Japan one day - or Wales. Yep, it's that different.
Get to know me well enough (through e-mail, usually with first contact being established with reviews - that is in no way shape or form a plea for reviews, I hate it when people do that) and I'll give you my AIM and/or MSN. Okay, here's updates on What's Going On With My Stories:
Rebirth and Regain: Chapter 26 finished and posted, chapter 27 in progress, about five pages done, currently in the "pool of things I can work on when I sit down at the computer" (I work on what I feel like working on - and sometimes that's nothing at all). I don't know how long it'll take me to do this one, as this one, like Market below, might end up being longer than normal. I have no idea.
It WAS a Normal Day in the Market: Chapter 30 is not coming along smoothly. I'm suffering humongous writer's block on everything I do, and this chapter is going to be so long and complex that even if I was writing normally it would STILL take me forever (~sticks tongue out at impatient Sano~). I've got about two and a half pages done - out of the estimated sixteen. My chapters have never been longer than twelve pages on this story, so that gives you an idea of how much more I'm putting in this one. Sixteen is also just a rough estimate - but I know that I won't be able to fit all that I need to in this chapter in the regular ten-eleven or even long twelve. Please be patient.
Wine-Colored Geisha [ff.n wouldn't let me put the dash in the title box: Chapter one started. The part that's posted right now is just a prologue. I put this on temporary hiatus so I can figure out more plot details - I have some planned for later, but none for right now, which is what I need.
Finished Things [except possibly some editing: Characters, One of Seiryu's, Just a Typical Rehearsal, It Would Not Burn, Four Plots, Who's on First - FY Style [co-written with Mouse-chan, Perfect, Who Are You?, Mattaki Sekai, And I Let Go, and Together.
Notes on Finished Things: Most of this needs more typo-fixing. I know it, I'll get to it eventually. I've gotten some reviews asking me to do more chapters to some of these (Perfect especially, and Mattaki), and I don't anticipate ever doing any. If I get a really good idea for a continuation of course I'll try it, but I just don't see it now. Actually, in Mattaki's case, Rebirth can be taken as its sequel - that wasn't intentional, it's just the way it turned out, especially since I did Mattaki waaaaaaay after I started Rebirth. I actually like it though, gives it some feel of connection.
Currently in Progress:
A Mary Sue parody entitled "Every Little Thing You Do is Tragic." Deffffffinitely a parody - I even went crazy and 'talked' to my main character in the first part. Status: first part close to being done - and I need to find her a new name.
Short fic about Miaka's mother finding the photo of her and her seishi on the boat before leaving for Hokkan, to take place before Tamahome/Taka comes back right at the end of the series. Miaka leaves that thing out, her mother's -gotta- ask where it came from and who they are, right? How does Miaka explain them without her mother getting suspicious or angry? Status: more added, but currently on hold.
As-yet-unnamed RENT-fic, about how all eight main characters get to NYC. I want to switch focus to all of them - it may wind up being little but a series of stories, each featuring one (or possibly two) of them and posted as a 'group of short stories' thing. Status: first segment (Mark and Roger, not slash, Mark's POV) about three and a half pages completed.
AIDA fic about Zoser - how did he become what he is in the show? If it ever gets written, will probably be mostly about him and his father. Status: still in VERY nebulous idea stage.
A round-robin FY fic based around a Nyan-nyan who gets tossed outside as a punishment for breaking a cookie jar. I start it off, anyone who wants to continues! I am gonna have a couple regulations, but I don't think they'll be too bad (like hitting SpellCheck - that's a definite MUST DO). BUT! There WILL be twists to all this! So it will be somewhat AU - and fun to play with. Status: up on my website, check it out.
Rurouni Kenshin songfic set to "You Belong to Me" by Jason Wade, off the Shrek soundtrack. Lovely song. Kind of sad romance, post series - Megumi receives a letter from Sano, who's still out there in the world, and reads it. Many times. And talks to herself (whaaaaaaaat? It's a trait with my female characters!) about him and them and it ["it" being their relationship]. I'm a SxM shipper, can't help it. Status: being worked on fairly consistently.
Possibly AU Ruroken fic dealing with Sano and his time with the Sekihoutai, starting from how he joined up with them. "Possibly AU" because I got the idea before I learned about Sano's past (even now I only have very general information) and I based this idea on a possible past I thought up for him. I like my version better - or at least it fits with my story idea better, which I guess is only logical. Status: on mental hold. I need to see more of the series or read more of the manga first. Maigo-chan rocks.
Hmm... Think that's it.
