I live in Jacksonville, Florida, but spend most of my summer chilling in Clarksville, Tennessee with my dad and the indiekids who live up there. We like to make music with the obnoxious battery powered children's toys with flashing lights that make noise. This summer I'm going to England, France, and Spain, and plan on writing about my expiriences. I consider myself to be a liberal. And for one more bit of incoherent babbling about myself, I go to a highschool for art students, and you'd think it's really cool and stuff but in reality all the people are trite and pretentious and it really sucks sometimes. I guess I'll list some things I like and don't like, because that seems to be the kind of this people do...

The God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy, The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky, Lolita - Vladmir Nabokov, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - Carson McCullers, The Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger (actually, all of his books are good, and if you like Catcher, you should read all of them or else you'll be one of those annoying people who has only read Catcher and talks about how great Salinger is but really doesn't know what they're talking about, Fight Club - Chuck Palahunishgaldhgahgicantspellhisname (everyone should read all of his books too because he's cool like fire), anything Marie Howe, anything e.e. cummings

The Desperacidos, Songs:Ohia, Mazzy Star, Bright Eyes, The Faint, Bratmobile, Piano Magic, Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Blood Group, Sorry About Dresden, Belle and Sebastian, Mates of State, Rilo Kiley, Pavement, The Coral, Blake Babies, 10,000 Maniacs, Joe Marc's Brother, Payday Loans, Cibo Matto, Brittle Stars, Dismemberment Plan, Nick Drake, Elliot Smith, there are more and I don't feel like listing them.

Movies: The Rules of Attraction, Welcome to the Dollhouse, The Last Supper, Lolita, Hackers, But I'm a Cheerleader, Pi, Igby Goes Down, The Good Girl, Tuvalu, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Amelie, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, lots of other ones that I can't think of

That's enough self-absorbedness for one afternoon. I can't think of everything I like once I sit down to write this. Livejournal comment me if you want to know anything or something.

I tried to tell you before I left. About what I felt when we were laying on my carpet. About what our guitars whispered when we left them leaning on each other, facing the corner like two kids in time-out. About what you chose to break the silence with.
