Stereotypically if the public thinks of famous poets, it thinks of old white dudes. If the public imagines the current day poet, it's either an emo teenager, or a women. The feminization of poetry, along with its past, gives it a stigma.

Being corrupted has a sort of appeal because there's a release from responsibility if it's all because of some other person.

Constructive critcism please? For your summary: this poem was born of a mantra used when I get overly hyper.

I tried to touch on fear.

-the emotional effect of not caring about the people around you. This has gone through revisions, so it's now stinking long...for me...

-the idea of human beauty and of beauty in the eye of the beholder and therefore of bad eyesight

I heart imagery...and this is some freaky stuff...somebody tell me you don't love it and give me a good reason, come on, I need some opposition.

I personify colors. A little negative. Find out what I did to your favorite colors...my bad

this is why you should always make sure your pronoun has an antecedent...ok, not really, but it almost applies.
