I go through up and down periods on fictionpress. Not emotionally. Emotionally I am very stable and usually cheerfull. However, I'll come and read a lot and write some stroies and get into the community, then I'll disppear for a few months. Bad habit of mine.

I do enjoy a lot of stories on FP though I'll admit I tend to steer away from long works. Anything over five chapters looks daunting over the internet. In real life I'll read anything that's put in front of me. Anything. I'm one of those people that will read the instruction manuals if bored enough. I'm not so much into heavy sci-fi or fantasy. I was when I was younger, but I've switched over to drama and urban fantasy. "Portrait of Dorian Gray", "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", and "Slaughter House Five" are all brillant. And that's just the tip of the iceburg.

The past few (cough - 5) years I've become an unashamed slash fan. I'll define that one, too. Slash is "gay" literature. You know, two guys getting it on. By unashamed I not only mean I freely admit to liking slash, but also that I like reading heavy, NC-17 sex scenes between two men (or between two boys or, hell, between a boy and a man). Sick? Probably. The way I look at it is that for generations men have been looking at pictures of girls doing goats. In comparison, I'm pure.

Kinks (I told you I was unashamed) include opposites (sluts and Mormon boys), school boys (hell, who doesn't like that), ties (like a handy-dany built in leash), best friends, and love tringles. In fact, I love love tringles. And not those weak ones in most fanficiton, either, but full blown ones.
