"True literature can exist only where it is created, not by diligent and trustworthy officials, but by madmen, hermits, heretics, dreamers, rebels, and sceptics."

Yevgeny Zamyatin, russian author.

Well, I am a poor, under-reviewed author who likes most fantasy, science fiction, politics, and theology. I'm 16, my name is Joe and I actually AM Canadian. I don't get to write half as often as I'd like to. I'm you're average foolish teenager, with a great hatred for school. Life is good anyway.

I am proudly socialist, and an ex-communist. (I gave up on the ideal system when I saw the rarity of ideal people.) My personal religion, once called "Joeism" has recently been renamed, "Joyous Creationism."

How could so wonderful a world exist without a Creator? (That's the "Creationism" bit.) And faith tells me that that Creator is a loving being, that wants us all to be happy. (The "Joyous" bit.) It is our duty to bring as much joy and as little suffering into the world as possible.

And here is a ridiculously long list of quotes!

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind
Mahatma Gandhi

Lack of money is the root of all evil.
George Bernard Shaw

"And the sign said 'Long-haired freaky people need not apply'
So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why
He said 'You look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do'
So I took off my hat, I said 'Imagine that. Huh! Me workin' for you!' "
5 Man Electrical Band, "Signs"

There is no other definition of socialism valid for us than that of the abolition of the exploitation of man by man. - Ernesto Che Guevara

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.
J. R. R. Tolkien

Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff.
Frank Zappa (1940 - 1993)

It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can stop him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.
Martin Luther King Jr.

Write a wise saying, and your name will live forever
