Author has written 122 stories for Fantasy, Humor, Supernatural, General, Life, Friendship, Haiku, Horror, Biography, Love, Religion, General, Fantasy, School, Mythology, Spiritual, Nature, Young Adult, and Essay. Probably don't email me at the given address at this point. Please leave a review asking me to contact you if you so desire (and directing me to where I can do so); I only check that address once in a while, but the review alert is on my safe list, whereas your personal address will get auto-trashed with the junk. :( It sounds inefficient, but believe me, I will get back to you.12-May-2007: Holy moly, MJ dropped in! Well of course I almost never do these days, life goes on, you know. I wrote something creatively (even if it was still for school) for the first time, substantially, in...probably several years now, so I decided to just post it, what the heck. I'm afraid it makes little sense and tries to be more profound than it has a right to be, but hell, I've done worse, as have most of us in this community. Updated my mini-bio to reflect my current life, just for fun, plus the quote (of course). Condensing things, etc. Just a little here and there, hope everyone's been doing well! August 2006: ... I decided after rereading many of these works that, although I have become somewhat ambivalent about several of them (to say the least!), I won't take them down. I consider it somewhat dishonest to simply show what I believe to be one hundred percent quality work, after all; that is not the life of a writer of any sort, much less a poet such as I have somehow drawn myself up to be in this mad world. It would be unrealistic and disheartening to a writer-aspirant to see a short repertoire of lovely and profound poetry with a dotting of engaging prose, rather than a painfully long listing of what are for the most part vapid and mediocre ramblings. One must know what to expect out of these types of hobbies before one jumps into them. ... Thanks for dropping by, A bit about me... I'm still female, living in West Virginia but not from around here, but now I'm a 19-year-old college junior at Shepherd University whose efforts to study exotic things away from home have been thwarted, I suspect, by those who look better on paper. So after ventures including a transfer application to Duke University, an attempt at acceptance into a Japanese language immersion program, and two years as a psychology major, I have come to believe the avenue of study most suitable to my sensibilities has turned out to be...English. Contrary to what you might expect from all the evidence, I rarely write creatively. (My strength, for the moment, seems to lie in the academic essay, dull though it may sound; I relish the structural aspect, as you might guess from reading the entries posted here.) Most of what you see here is old poetry which is rather hit or miss. I do thank you for stopping by to read some of my material, even if you don't review. Although over the years I have come to disdain some of it, as in my mind it has not aged so gracefully, it is as they say: only a mediocre writer is always at her best--and I don't hope to be mediocre! I hope my dodderings brighten your day or make you think or laugh or something. :) Thanks so much, hope you enjoy!! As ever, I'm a big fan of creative criticism, so be sure to muse on about my writing. Please do leave signed reviews whenever possible--I like to read the work of my readers, you know, to see who my audience is. ;) And most importantly... Happy reading!
