Author has written 7 stories for Horror, Fantasy, Romance, and General. So, a little information about me (in case you were interested): I am not a teenager and sometimes I feel older than I should. I live in Canada and am proud of it, even when sometimes I think I shouldn't be. I am a music addict and can play several instruments, though not very well. I am obsessed with British humour and wish there was more available in my home country. I am allergic to my pets, but love them anyway. I am a procrastinator, but am unwilling to do much about it when I have about a trillion other things that need to be done. On FictionPress (and it's authors): I hate reviewing other people's work, so don't ask. I am not looking for mistakes when I read things on FP and will ignore problems unless they are glaringly obvious, so any review I do give will probably not be very good by way of constructive criticism. I read to enjoy, not to nitpick. I loathe authors who threaten to not post their next chapter unless they get x number of reviews. If you think you need help with your writing, just ask. Don't make your readers hate you, because I can assure you, they will. My preference is to read completed stories because I tend to forget what has happened previously if I have to wait for a new chapter to come out. This is not to say I don't read incomplete stories. I also realize that this is slightly hypocritical of me, since I take forever to update. On my stories: I much prefer reading to writing, so it takes me forever to finish something. Not that I don't enjoy it, it's just that I'm not motivated nearly enough when I have free time. I also keep coming up with new ideas that interest me a lot more than what I'm currently working on. As Fate Would Have It is something that has been on my mind for a long time now. It began as a NaNoWriMo idea several years ago and somehow ended up in it's current format. (Unbelievably, it began as a fantasy novel, taking place in a completely different world. Unfortunately, Anik made herself known to me and she suited the role much better. Noel is much less intense now.) Alexandra... Well, I have fallen completely out of love with it. I like Alex as a character, but if nothing else, I need to change her name. When did it become so popular on here? Deck can definitely use some work, and so does the plot. I don't seem to be able to write something that doesn't have at least a little sci-fi/fantasy in it. The Forgotten was something I started writing when I was fourteen, or something like that. I liked the idea, but nothing else. I don't know if it will ever be finished. Unlike anything else I've put up on here, Underneath the Illusions is a story that I have a complete storyline for, and I adore my characters. It will be finished one day. Lochlann and Mira hold a special place in my heart and I would hate for their story to never be told. |
