Author has written 69 stories for General, Song, Love, Family, Friendship, Haiku, and General. I'm Amanda, age 19. I am widely known as intelligent, persuasive, open-minded, passionate, stubborn, and goal oriented. I have dark blond hair, blue eyes, and I'm 5'7ish. I am almost always writing, taking pictures, or videotaping. (Except now my camera is broken so no more pictures.) I write something every day to keep my creativity flowing. I hate cooking classes but love to cook. (Majority baking) There are two things that can calm/comfort me when I'm angry or sad or in hysterics almost instantly, a hug or a kiss. I love to be out in the rain. A person has to be able to stand up for themselves against me or I lose some respect for them. Live life with no regrets. I'm an affectionate person. I love to cuddle. I'm extremely adaptive and able to recover quickly from things. I know and understand that the one person you can always truly count on is yourself but that is no reason to give up on the world. Hold the world accountable for it's actions, challenge it, change it. It's possible. I over analyze a lot of things. Don't take me at face value there's a lot more underneath. I love to get back massages and I can give an okay neck and shoulder massage. : ) I love my family no matter how much we fight because when it comes down to it we'd pick each other over everyone else. We are always there for each other. I want to eventually find a guy or girl who is willing to devote themselves to me-to choose me over everyone else. ~~~~If you play with my hair, I might just fall in love with you~~~~ I love hanging out with my friends doing whatever interests us at that moment whether its going to the movies, parks, driving around, going to 24 hour diners, taking crazy pictures, etc. I’m 19 and I just know that today, tomorrow, or even yesterday my words meant/mean something to someone somewhere and they made all the difference for him or her. That is enough for me. As of April 16th I'm 19!!! Amazing isn't it? I rememberpostingmy first poemback in 7th/8th 's been awhile and a lot has changed...a lot of great authors have left and a lot of new oneshaverisen... The Rules of Life According to Me: Rule 1: Never be ashamed of who you are or who you want to become. Rule 2: Never be afraid to ask for what you want. Rule 3: Think for yourself. Don’t blindly follow others (don’t be a sheep) Rule 4: Help those who can’t help themselves. Rule 5: Fight back and always fight for what you believe in because if you don’t no one will. Rule 6: When you find love, don’t let it go. End Thanks to: irish lover, Novi AstleyJin Munku-JGSPTV, Millie.Great and loyal reviewersI always love hearing from you 4 over everyone else. "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."--Henry David Thoreau "High School isn't the end and I won't let anyone make it be." "Learning is not compulsory... neither is survival"—W. Edwards Deming "A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver five minutes longer." --Ralph Waldo Emerson "That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you've understood all your life, but in a new way"--Doris Lessing “You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough.”—Frank Crane Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.”—Oscar Wilde "You must be the change you want to see in the world."--Mahatma Gandhi "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." --Ralph Waldo Emerson “Mistrust the man who finds everything good, the man who finds everything evil and still more the man who is indifferent to everything.”—Johann K. Lavater “Never refuse any advance of friendship, for if nine out of ten bring you nothing, one alone may repay you.” –Madame de Tencin “Every sweet has its sour; every evil its good.”—Ralph Waldo Emerson "As if you could kill time without injuring eternity."--Henry David Thoreau "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." --Martin Luther King Jr. "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."--Mahatma Gandhi "Our lives begin toend the day we become silent about things that matter."--Martin Luther King Jr. "A jury consists of twelve persons chosen to decide who has the better lawyer."--Robert Frost, (attributed) "...I am consumed by the frustration of everything I've ever felt for you And it creates a ripple in time in space when something as real and strong as this is finally broken apart" Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines He wrote a poem And he called it "Chops" Because that was the name of his dog And that’s what it was all about And his teacher gave him an A and a gold star And his mother hung it on the kitchen door and read it to all his aunts That was the year that Father Tracy took all the kids to the zoo And he let them sing on the bus And his little sister was born with tiny toenails and no hair And his mother and father kisses a lot And the girl around the corner sent him a Valentine signed with a row of X’s and he had to ask his father what the X’s meant And his father always tucked him in bed at night And was always there to do it. Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines he wrote a poem And he called it "Autumn" because that was the name of the season And that’s what it was all about And his teacher gave him an A and asked him to write more clearly And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door because of its new paint And the kids told him that Father Tracy smoked cigars And left butts on the pews And sometimes they would burn holes That was the year his sister got glasses with thick lenses and black frames And the girl around the corner laughed when he asked her to go see Santa Claus And the kids told him why his mother and father kissed a lot And his father never tucked him in bed at night And his father got mad when he cried for him to do it. Once on a paper torn from his notebook he wrote a poem And he called it "Innocence: A Question" because that was the question about his girl And that’s what it was all about And his professor gave him and A and a strange steady look And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door because he never showed her That was the year that Father Tracy died And he forgot how the end of the Apostle’s Creed went And he caught his sister making out on the back porch And his mother and father never kissed or even talked And the girl around the corner wore to much make-up That made him cough when he kissed her but he kissed her anyway because that was the thing to do And at 3 A.M. he tucked himself into bed his father snoring soundly That’s why on the back of a brown paper bag he tried another poem And he called it "Absolutely Nothing" Because that’s what it was really all about And he gave himself an A and a slash on each damned wrist And he hung it on the bathroom door because this time he didn’t think he could reach the kitchen.
