Who am I?

I am a human just like you. Just like you, I have dreams, fears, emotions, hopes, and doubts. My life is normal just like yours. And yet, my mind arms me with the tools I need to dissassemble these 'Just's, and I soon become something much, much more. With the aid of mind and imagination, I become a writer, and I have the power to change the world.

My Name: Robin Graves

Gender: Female (Yes, I've been asked about this.)

Age: There's a 99.9 chance that I'm younger or older than you.

Fav. Movie: Too many to list. Some of the older tops include Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Harry Potters 1,2, & 3, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Last Samurai, Tomb Raiders 1&2, and the Matrix.

Current Fav. Movie: That would be War of the Worlds. This movies was truly an edge-of-your-seat movie!

Fav. Music: Too many to list, but most of my favorite bands are rock or metal. However, I do like some other music such as Dave Mathews Band, Jason Mraz, and Nora Jones. Chances are that I like something you like.

Current Musical Addiction: The new Foo Fighters cd "In your Honor".

Fav. Books: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, generally any of
those big fantasy names. I also like Fight Club, Life of Pi, Cat's
Cradle, and I also like a wide assortement of Dean Koontz's novels.
When he's not writing about homocidal maniacs, he's writing
thought-provoking philosophical novels.

Favorite Authors: Chuck Palahniuk, CS Lewis (a lot of his philosophies and mine are identical), Dean Koontz (ditto), James Patterson, Robert Louis Stevenson (poetry), JK Rowling, Tolkien, Douglas Adams, etc. If it were possible to read too much books, I would have passed the limitation years ago!

Currently Reading: I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince. So sad! Ben and Jerry's saved me from the usual post-hp depression, and now my elliptical machine is being forced to save me from the Ben and Jerry's.

Current Picks:
Lady Viviane Khristunchan
: she's a friend of mine, and she has a lot of good things posted. Read. Now.

Andaren: a faithful reviewer, and a darn good poet too!

Keltica: another faithful reviewer, and another wonderful writer. Read.

Wingedchronos: a truly talented writer. Read her stuff at your own peril; you will not be able to look away from your computer until you finish.

My Review Philosophy: If you review a poem of mine, I will, without a doubt, return the favor. I will tirelessly try to review whatever doesn't have any reviews as long as I can read it. If I really like your stuff and you've reviewed, you'll probably end up on my Current Pick list! If you don't, don't be offended. I am lazy, and I probably neglected to put you there.

Updates:

I will update as much as I can. Due to the chaos that has been my life, chances are these updates will only be poetry, essays, and/or short stories. Also, be sure to check out my Xanga! My screename there is Chronicartfreak. Believe it or not, that's updated more than my account is!

8-8-05 Wow, it has been a while. Needless to say, I've returned from my travels. Sadly, I only have a meager poem to show for it. Enjoy it, nonetheless.

6-16-05 Irony is a pain in the ass. I just got the words flowing from my pen for the one novel I've added here, but another computer crash robbed me of my outline and all my specific notes about species, worlds, etc. So, I'm pretty much out of luck when it comes to that. Shatterlife I had the sense to write on paper, but I'm currently working on a revision of it. I felt that my original portrayal of the characters and early plot was not up to par. So, I can say that there will be a few updates for Shatterlife and a few poems upon my return, but I wouldn't expect anything from my other novel. I think that's pretty much down the drain.
