Author has written 1 story for General.Well then. Those who know me know that it takes a lot of prodding and ultimatum-writing to get me to post, but after giving up on a previous story, I'm getting a lot more joy out of writing this one (Rest In Peace, Estrella, with all the other dead fics out there). I'm the friend of both Isabel/Izzabelle and Katie/Spooky152, and happen to be Melba in Isabel's story and Lisa in Katie's. Which brings me to what my story is: A prequel to Isabel's Elijah fic Verdraengen, told from a different point of view. And oh yes...sans Elijah. Now, I'm very sorry if that's a big prerequisite for reading a story, but there spark for having him just isn't there (I prefer Orlando myself...or a cute little Sean p'raps). Plus it's told from Melba's perspective, meaning you (she's called YNH in the story...standing for "your name here," so you can star) will get a nice Sky. He's vaguely based on a guy at school whom I happen to like quite a bit (I've said three words to him...it's progress!) but isn't the exact person since a.) I don't know the guy he's based on and b.) if ever I should write in a less-than-PG scene, I don't want the guilt. Imagine having to look at someone and the thought "boy, you have no idea what you were doing in my story last night" is all that can go through your head. Pretty disturbing, no?
That should be aboot it...but oh yes, the title. Levandre = Swedish for "alive." I wanted to keep with the theme of Katie and Isabel's stories, with the foreign language title. And it was either Levandre or Estonudar (a fun spanish word meaning "to sneeze"...that's what I thought, Levandre it is). And of course read Katie and Isabel's stories, both of which are written better than the one here. That doesn't mean don't read mine though, and definitely give it a review (or two or three...) complete with constructive criticism, because I must learn how to take that:)
Have fun reading!
