Author has written 7 stories for Essay, General, Fantasy, and Life.

Not sure what I'm doing anymore, but whatever it is, I'm awesome at it.

I write fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, research/essay, documentary, and copy. My comfort zone is Y/A fantasy, and this strange fictionalized autobiographical nonsense, but I like to write all of the things.

Things I enjoy that aren't writing include reading, dabbling in photography, adventuring, studying languages, drinking coffee and working at a mortgage company being a professional hipster (I'd tell you my job title, but I won't bother because you've probably never heard of it). Someday I will actually produce a podcast, probably about diabetes because it's a thing I'm very familiar with (type 1 since 2011). I went to school for Radio/Television Production & Management so I know how to do it, it's just been a matter of having the time, the energy, and getting down to actually writing the materials needed to do the thing.

I keep a blog about writing and you can tweet me (@Al_Laski).

The Dark Tower drew me toward other worlds in 1999, and I've been a writer ever since.

"It is impossible to discourage the real writers—they don't give a damn what you say, they're going to write." - Sinclair Lewis
