I joined this site at age 15 in 2002, and nearly all the writing contained here encompasses my pre-teen and teenage years. I'm well into adulthood now. Poetry was an outlet for a variety of strong emotions - fear, sadness, grief, frustration, confusion, etc. Poetry was a way for me to spend time with those emotions and find a way to encapsulate them - and let them go. |
