IMPORTANT INFO*
Merfolk and Men has had some big changes, including the editing, shuffling, and general re-arranging of chapters and plot. So, if you happen to want to view these changes (and you should, as they affect the whole rest of the story), simply start reading at chapter 27 and continue on through chapter 30. These chapters have recieved the most work and hold the biggest stuff!

Hey everyone!
I suppose this page is so that you can get to know me better. Here we go. I'm 16 years old, and from NC. I am obsessed with playing tennis during the fall, passionate about skiing in the winter, obsessed with tennis again in the spring, and unable to wait to get into a pool during the summer. All year round I love to read and write, as well as play the piano and flute.
I am a blonde.

Yeah, go ahead. Crack a joke.

Anyway, what else? Let's see. I'll listen to about any type of music: Jazz, Enya, Creed, Blink 182, Aerosmith, 3 Doors Down, Hootie and the Blowfish, classical, irish, U2, Switchfoot, Green Day, Flogging Molly, etc. I just don't enjoy extremely twangy country, though I do like some blue grass.

I am from the Baird and McInnes Clans (Scotland) and I have english and Scotch-Irish blood in me. Mostly Scotch-Irish.

I am a blonde at heart, a ditz in all regards, and a straight-a student. Hard to believe? Good, cause its a lie. I made a B inGeometry on my last report card.

Books I like: Lord of the Rings, anything by Brian Jauques, The Mists of Avalon, anything about the fall of Troy, fantasies mainly, Romiette and Julio, Forged by Fire, Ella Enchanted, the Blue Sword, To Kill A Mockingbird, Harry Potter, Feathered Serpent, Les Miserables, Count of Monte Cristo, Pride and Prejudice, ...I'll think of more when I get a chance. Also, Shakespeare (in small doses) is awesome.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Black Hawk Down, The Patriot, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Sliding Doors, Much Ado About Nothing, A Knight's Tale, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Catch Me if You Can, Daniel Deronda, Clueless, Pirates of the Carribbean, Love Actually, Ned Kelly, Tempo...I could go on and on, but I'll stop here.

Please, please, please check out some of my favorite stories/authors. I've found some really talented people (but I can't claim their discovery all for myself, now can I? Tons of people love these stories). There is some really incredible stuff on my Favorites lists, so go now and read some of those stories (after, of course, you read and review mine ;) )!

A Special thanks to Savina, Flip-Flop Hobbit, Banana Elf, Grim Jedi, pinkpiggy, RoseGoddess, Magico3, and Neniae for all the inspiration, ideas, and encouragement. You guys rock.

You know what I love seeing at the bottom of my stories? Copyright, Lemon Drop. This material may not be used without written permission from Lemon Drop. I LOVE THAT! Is that not the coolest thing EVER? Someone has to have my permission. COOL.
Ok so that also means, if you want to use my characters or something, then ask first. They are mine.

Constructive critisism. Very good. It helps me become a better writer, so review as much as possible, good or bad. I would love for you to respond, even if it is to tell me how much you hate my story. Hey! That's ok. If you like it, that's awesome. I'm totally psyched that you do! If you don't, I respect that. Each is entitled to his or her own opinion, and nothing I do is going to change what you think.

One thing I ask: if you are going to criticize me, do it in a mature, orderly fashion. Don't just cuss me out and tell me how much you hate me, even if that's what's on your mind. I would much rather you tell me some things that I could improve on, because, let's face it: no one is perfect, especially me. All we can do is strive to be better in everything we do, and that is my goal, to become a better writer, not to be told i suck and to go to hell. No, I don't think that will help me too much (maybe I'm wrong? Does someone draw inspiration from that kind of stuff...?).

All my love,
*Lemon Drop*
PS: If you have a chance, I love to talk, so IM me or email!
