There's nothing astoundingly earth-shattering about me; I'm just your average college coed, although...

I am multi-racial and multi-lingual, so when I get pissed off, I can yell in a plethora of languages!

My family and friends like to joke that my favourite game to play is "Musical Universities." The tally right now is three and counting. See, I am filled with wanderlust, and it would take a miracle for me to settle down in one place for too long at this point.

I love music and writing; those things go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly, surf and sun, Reese and Ryan...in other words, I firmly believe that the entwining of melody and the written word is purely magical; a perfect marriage.

Anyhoo...make no mistake. Although I love literature, politics, the internet and music, that is not saying that I am a sissy. LOL. Far from it. I get in trouble quite often for speaking my mind (just ask my poor high school teachers, who have had to deal with me for 4 long years).

As for my stature, well, I am what you would call "vertically-challenged" or "space-efficient." I've got hip-length brown hair that just keeps on growing and growing, so from the back, I look like Cousin Itt.

Other stuff I love:

Artsy, indie flicks (preferably with subtitles) or film noir; I like flicks with depth and substance...the kind that makes you think and shows you a whole new perspective you never even thought of before. With that in mind, "Cinema Paradiso," "Beyond Paradise," "Schindler's List," "Talk To Her" and "Amelie" are my all-time favourites!

My heart-shaped "Titanic" necklace that my mum gave me. It's probably the most valuable, priceless piece of jewelry I own, and I wear it pretty much all the time.

Mango...I am so OBSESSED with that fruit it's not even funny.

Sushi slathered with either raspberry, blueberry or strawberry jelly (granted, they don't serve 'em like that, but that's why I carry a packet of jelly with me!)

Chocolate Macadamia Nut Kona Coffee with Soymilk. One taste of it, and I'm an addicted woman!

Musical Theatre / Operas... come on, can anyone watch the helicopter scene from "Miss Saigon" and honestly not be blown away?

My da's Navy peacoat that I altered to fit me...It's vintage, it's chic, it's perennially stylish...what more could you ask for?

My first edition hardcover of Hermann Hesse's "Knulp: Three Tales from the Life of Knulp." It took me practically forever to track one down, and guess where I finally found it! AUSTRALIA!

! I visit that site every single day; it's hilarious! It's this smashing newspaper parody site filled with incredibly funny stuff. Check it out!

My black "Music: Sin Miedo" beanie 'cause it's so soft, smells nice and once I put it on, it STAYS on!

Sunsets, especially on the beach. 'Nuff said.

The Pali Lookout. It's probably my favourite and one of the most beautiful spots in the world. It reminds me of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" painting.

"Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. He's my absolute favourite painter!

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Dude, Nick and Sara have got to hook up soon or else I'llgo pupulae! Hint, hint, hint, oh Powers-That-Be!

Unpredictability. I am a total adrenaline junkie and at times, it may seem to people that I am precariously walking the thin line between 'adventure' and 'foolishness' when it comes to my choice of, um, entertainment. But hey, you only live once, so go fo' brok'! Pet sharks! Bungee at least once! Run with bulls! Go spelunking! Scream your lungs out at the top of a mountain!

Photography. I've just recently picked up that hobby, and I am no professional. Nor do I aspire for a career in it. I just take pictures of things that I think are beautiful or inspiring, like the Victorian Park or the Jack Kerouac Memorial Park.

Anyhoo...muchas gracias y mahalo to all those who review my work. Keep on rockin'!

HELE ON!

GO FO' BROK'
