We are Diyah and Zach aged 16. We live in Detroit and are pro-choice, anti-organized religion (particularly Christianity), anti-Bush, anti-war with Iraq, don't believe in the death penalty and don't like Ann Coulter. Zach likes comic books while I, Diyah, like Russian writers (Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Gogol, Nabokov etc.)

Okay on to me, Diyah (real name is Vasiliki), in detail. I'm Sicilian and Amerindian (Sioux to be precise), 5'5, I have long thick dark hair that was lit on fire once. Brown eyes, and a thin white scar on my forehead that most people don't notice. Small hands, long nails, small ears, and big hoop earrings.

My favorite color is red, I'm Eastern Orthodox and while I believe in a higher power I do not put any faith in the Bible. My birthday is September 7th and I'm not a nature person.

I do like kittens though.

And I enjoy flaming people. Yes I admit it. I am unashamed. Particularly those bits of horror that one can barely read because of all the glaring errors and essays that either miscontrue reality or are just plain a waste of time and space. However...I can be nice if you deserve it.

My favorite representative of the conservative side on this site is definitely Steven Lawrence. Not much competition there. Admiral isn't exactly fact driven what with his declaring opinion as fact habits and I don't particularly care for RCS's logic (or lack thereof) and have developed an appreciation for hnmn.

Raekwon aka Liquid Swords gets his own paragraph (lucky him) because he is special. He writes well, argues brilliantly and makes me laugh. He also makes me dizzy which is a definite plus. Can't really ask for more.

I like Jave Harron on political issues. I love Neon Tetra as she is without doubt one of the funniest and best writers on this site and vastly under-appreciated. Arathin would be amazing if she would just space her paragraphs out. Tofujunky's poetry is exceptionally well-written and amusing. Savak is my favorite poet. She is a bitter, condescending and self-satisfied Palestinian girl (in her own words) and she's very likable. Tiefling's always good.

For all those people who want to know what serasivad means...it's a combination of mine and Zach's last names. Not very mysterious there.

On to more interesting matters. Such as...favorite t.v. shows! I don't watch a lot of t.v. but I do like Law&Order. My favorite movies? Cry-Baby, Hairspray, Heavenly Creatures, Gangs of New York, Fight Club. I like Spike Lee's Malcolm X but hated Jungle Fever. Get into more detail about that later.

I think Johnny Depp is sexy as hell and Tom Cruise isn't. I like chocolate and soul, r&b, and world music. Rap to a lesser extent and rock not at all.

I am a fan of the ever omnipotent Khalil Gibran.

"The Arts of the Nations"

The art of the Egyptians is in the occult

The art of the Chaldeans is in calculation

The art of the Greeks is in proportion

The art of the Romans is in echo

The art of the Chinese is in etiquette

The art of the Hindus is in the weighing of good and evil

The art of the Jews is in the sense of doom

The art of the Arabs is in reminiscence and exaggeration

The art of the Persians is in fastidiousness

The art of the French is in finesse

The art of the English is in analysis and self-righteousness

The art of the Spaniards is in fanaticsm

The art of the Italians is in beauty

The art of the Germans is in ambition

The art of the Russians is in sadness

Sayings of Gibran include:

History does not repeat itself except in the minds of those who do not know history.

What do the nationalists say about killers punishing murderers and thieves sentencing looters?

(props to Narqual for the above one)

Keep me from the wisdom that does not weep, and the philosophy that does not laugh and the pride that does not bow its head before a child.

Most of us hover dubiously somewhere between mute rebellion and prattling submission.

The fear of Hell is Hell itself.

Some souls are like sponges. You cannot squeeze anything out of them except what they have sucked from you.

My personal favorite:

How gravely the glutton counsels the famished to bear the pangs of hunger.

I don't like people that bitch about affirmative action. The way I figure it...if they're gonna wipe my people (AmerIndians) out, sterilize, humiliate, degrade and assimilate us before cramming us all into some filthy slum some comedians call reservations then they can damn well pay for my college tuition. Same thing goes for Blacks/Hispanics/Asians. Until they can guarantee that they won't experience racism in the "system" so to speak then they can damn well give them a little assistance. As for people who say it's infantalizing them...the ancestors of Black people broke their backs so White men could experience the joys of infantalization so I don't think they have any room to talk.

"I had it all. Even the glass dishes with little bubbles and imperfections, proof that they were handcrafted by the simple, honest, hardworking indigenous peoples of...wherever."

-Fight Club

Other Clever Sayings (the first four of which were jacked from Savak's bio...read her poetry!):

"You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it."

-Malcolm X

"If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were to burst at once into the sky
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty one --
I am become Death,
The shatterer of Worlds."

-Hindu Spiritual, Bhagavad Gita

"Don't steal. The government hates competition."

-Anon.

"Remember, people will judge you by your actions, not your intentions. You may have a heart of gold -- but so does a hard-boiled egg."

-Anon.

"Women are made to be loved, not understood."

-Oscar Wilde

"You shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house

And if you got a glass jaw you should watch yo mouth"

-That was from everybody's favorite rapper (yeah right, I know) 50 Cent who has bursts of unexpected eloquence

"I have opinions of my own-strong opinions-but I don't always agree with them."

-George Bush Sr., former U.S. President

"I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being only skin deep. That's deep enough. What do you want, an adorable pancrea?"

-Jean Kerr

"I pretty much try to stay in a constant state of confusion just because of the expression it leaves on my face."

-Johnny Depp

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."

-Marion "Pat" Robertson

(the above is Zach's absolute favorite; he got it from the lovely Tofujunky)

"If there is anything the nonconformist hates worse than a conformist, it's another nonconformist who doesn't conform to the prevailing standard of nonconformity."

-Bill Vaughan

"You need to complain and moan and whine to get anything in this life, and the best way to get people to notice problems is to scream them from the top of a stage whilst playing guitar. Really loudly."

-Chocoholic's fic "Why America Needs The Sex Pistols"

"Rejects formed ALL countries. If they'd had any brains they would have stayed where they were or taken some sodding food with them"

-Also from Chocoholic's masterpiece of an essay

"To love someone means to see him as God intended him"

-Fyodor Dostoevsky

"The greatest happiness of life it the conviction that we are loved-loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves."

-Victor Hugo

"Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster. And if you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes into you."

-Friedrich Nietzche

Bonjour! Well now onto me, Zach, that is. I, Zach, am a French/Filipino/Pacific Islander who hails from the great country of Canada. And yes, it's great, its better than YOUR pitiful excuse for a country.

Jesus Christ on a cracker... (poor Diyah has recently moved into the hell that is Crackerville but she used to live down the block from me) abide in a quaint Detroit neighborhood, in which you ONLY hear gunshots once a week at timed increments. We are moving up in the world!

Unlike Diyah I am not an English freak...she edits everything I write.

Now for preferences. I prefer silver compared to gold...I think gold is atrocious and should be lined up and shot.

I hate children...all children, this includes 3 to 21 year olds. I believe kids are bratty and white babies (no offense; I'm white) look like tomatoes on steroids when born.

I was born in an exquisite city in Canada and am a firm believer of its superiority to the U.S.A.

I am also a firm believer that your president is an idiot. I love Donna Summer, Ladytron, Shiela E., Sixpence None the Richer, PAULA ABDUL!, Madonna, and a managerie of other artists.

My favorite word is managerie...it just screams...look at me!

I switch through religions periodically to throw off potential caps. I have been a Wiccan, agnostic and even the occasional athiest...but NOT Christian. No offense against Christians but most of you are very badly represented.

I also support France's superiority to Poland and am a devout believer in the fact that Poland is one of the most ridiculously pointless countries ever.

When I grow up I hope to be a corporate lawyer and will rule the world. Once I accomplish this I will execute everyone I don't like...this includes half the worlds population.

I also have placed misspellings in strategic points so Diyah will get annoyed when she reads this.

Zach here dahhhlings...By the way...I am a Militant Feminist...go me!

I'm sure someday I'll put in more, but for now, I shall go swoon over Orlando Bloom.

Ta-ta, Zach

Zach's five ten, skinny and dark haired and hazel eyed. He has a Louis Vuitton fetish and likes rice.

Club Sheego is Zach's AIM. There's a definite theme running through all of them (*cough* my NAME *cough*) so it shouldn't be too much to handle.
