~~*~All About Alyx~*~~

Name: I’ve got so many that it’s probably easier just to reference Alyx Bradford as the name you’re most likely to know me by, and move on to...

Alternate Names: My real name (my soul’s name, that is) is Cassandra. The name my parents gave me when I was born this life is… none of your business, really. People I like can call me Cass. People I don’t like can stuff it.

Fur species: A wolf. Creative, right? I have my reasons. :grins:

Furry code:
FCWhms4adsw A+ C- D+ H+ M- P+ R T+ W*$ Z- Sf# RLLW/TH a17 c+ d e+ f+ h*+ iw+ j- p+ sf#

Age: 19.

Height: An entirely miserable 5’3”. That’s about six inches too short for my tastes.

Weight: Somewhere between 130 and 140. I haven't weighed myself in ages.

Blood Type: I think it’s A+. But I’m not really sure. I could entirely be making that up.

DOB: Spiritual? 17 August. Physically in this life I was born on 20 September 1985.

Occupation: College student. Aspiring author and actress. Probable English teacher.

Astrological Sign: Leo! Spiritually and personality-wise. I don’t look at horoscopes as determining your future or your personality, but I think the 12 Sun Signs are indicative of 12 basic personality types, and studying them can help you learn about yourself and how you interact with other people. And I’m a Classic Leo. Read any summary of them, and it’s all me. Spotlight-loving, generous, arrogant, proud, warrior-queen.

Chinese Year: Tiger. Rawr. Once again, see the above explanation on my theories on astrology. I was born an Ox, but bred a Tiger.

Location: A state of denial. ;) Seriously, though -- at school in Williamsburg, VA.

Natural Hair Color: Dela only knows anymore. I think it’s sort of a light, honey brown, but this poor mane has been dyed so many times it’s hard to tell. And now I've gone and put gold highlights in it to further confuse the whole thing.

Eye Color: Jade green.

Nationality: A born 'n' bred Southern girl. My mom's side of the family is entirely English (and descended from William the Conqueror. Isn't that cool?), and my dad's family is mixed English and Welsh.

Religous Affliation: Chaotic Ellaran, and very proud of it.

Generic School Label: Drama queen. Even though I’m not, really. Not in the sense that a typical drama queen creates conflict and trauma for herself. It just seems to follow me around. Plus, I was the heir to the drama club for my freshman and sophomore years of high school, under the reigning drama queen, and then I took over the title for my junior and senior years.

Generic Online Label: Depending on who you ask, I’m either a great wit or a mega-bitch. I tend to discount the latter, as it’s usually applied by people whose work I’ve torn apart for being so abhorrently bad that I can’t believe they had the nerve to post it in a public forum. (I do not flame; flames are unjustified attacks, and everything I say to these people is valid). At any rate, I dominate where I choose to. Empress. My word is law.

Fears: Water, primarily. I’m a terrible aquaphobe. Mostly large, moving water – I mean, I’m not afraid of the sink. Rivers, lakes, the ocean... really mostly rivers, which may or may not have something to do with watching my sister nearly drown in one a few years ago. Consequently, I also have an abiding fear of being on boats. Went out in a bay in Maine on a boat a few years ago, and the only thing I could think the entire time was how far we were from shore, and how cold that water must be. Eek. Also afraid of needles and stinging insects.

~~*~Alyx's College Info~*~~

College: William & Mary

School: Undergrad Arts & Sciences.

Major: English

Minor: Medieval & Renaissance Studies.

Graduating Year: 2007. Provided I don't end up on the famous five-year plan.

Career Goal: Ideally, I become a best-selling novelist and never have to hold a normal job for the extent of my life.

Projected Amount Of School Time: 2 more years. Grad school can kiss my ass.

~~*~Ways To Contact Alyx~*~~

AIM: Cass13MX or FaeryLadyX

Yahoo: raeglythmaid or goldheart_chaos. But I only ever get on to play games.

Alternate Email Addresses: Cass13MX@, MlleStJust@, crmorr@

~~*~Alyx's Hobbies~*~~

Writing: Well, duh. I love to write. It’s my passion, really. I love to set down in words the stories that are in my head. “I suppose I am a born novelist, for the things I imagine are more vital and vivid to me than the things I remember.” – Ellen Glasgow. I’ve been writing ever since I first got my chubby toddler’s fingers around a pencil, and I fancy myself rather good at it by this point.

Acting: I love to act. Unfortunately, I don’t think I did enough while I was younger to help get me in any doors, so I doubt I’ll ever be very big. I have dreams of Hollywood and Broadway, but I think my writing is the surer bet as a profession.

Singing: I am a full alto and bloody proud of it. Why? Because altos can belt. Sopranos can shrill and trill and die tragically all they want, but their voices will never have the incendiary power of an alto’s. I love to sing, but, as with acting, I don’t think I pursued it enough while I was younger, and now I’m rather behind the curve. Ah well. There are always Red Rose Productions for both.

Reading: All good writers should love to read, and I’m a fiend. I brought an entire bookcase to college with me. I’ve become our hall’s lending library. This is all befitting of an English/M&R studies major, who has about three dozen books to read for class on top of the pleasure reading she wants to do. My favourite genres are fantasy, historical fiction, and historical romance.

Collecting Quotes: I’m a loon about this, I really am. I’ve got a 100-page file full of them. Got any good ones? Let me know. ;)

Creating Icons: For livejournal. This is a recent obsession. I’ve madeover 2000since getting PaintShop Pro a little over a year ago. Hopelessly addicted.

Watching movies: I love movies. I really do. I could watch movies all the time and never be bored. I mean, I can’t just sit and watch a movie, but that’s because I’m incapable of not multi-tasking. But I really do adore film. I’ve been thinking about taking a jaunt into screenplay-writing.

Roleplaying: This has been dominating more and more of my time lately. It's madness. And oh so addictive.

~~*~Alyx's Writing Information~*~~

Biggest Writing Accomplishment: Finishing Days of the Alliance. Even if that was a year and a half ago. Aside from that... my mythology teacher thinking I should get Princess of Troy published was pretty cool. As was my creative writing teacher saying my work is publishable. Here’s hoping.

Most Famous Works: Days of the Alliance is infamous among my friends but has been rather ignored otherwise. My best-known work on fpc is easily "Confessions of a Harry Potter Addict", and on ffn it’s probably Brief Shakespeare. Which is sad, as those aren’t my favourite works at all. The idiotic humour stuff I turn out for amusement’s sake is always more popular than the dramas I put real work into, which is disappointing.

Most Embarrassing Pieces: When I realize they’re that bad, I remove them.

~~*~General Notes~*~~
I love reviews. Please review my stuff. I'd say "no flames," but I doubt that would stop anyone who really wanted to flame me, so just know that flames will be summarily ignored and dismissed.
I reserve the right to delete pointless attacks on my person; know that if your (cowardly) anonymous review is deleted, it does not mean you've gotten to me in anyway. Quite the contrary, it simply means you are beneath my contempt.
I've got a fictionpress-based livejournal community going on at http:///~literary_salon. It's mostly for discussion of essays and other opinion pieces. Have fun.
Ever been told you're going to hell? I know quite a few of my frequent reviewers have been! And often on this site! So if you'd care to share your experiences, join The Hellbound, my new livejournal community for those of us who have been condemned to everlasting redemption. ;) Five bonus points if you got that reference. Check it out: http:///~the_hellbound
