They were head over heels in love until he went back to college and got engaged. Now, ten years later, Alecia goes back to the ranch to debate over another proposal. Guess who's there? Yup, it's Jake, and he's denying ever being engaged. This story has been compared to "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks, but I assure you, this story was written well before the movie, and well before I had ever even heard of Nicholas Sparks. My inspiration was the song "Strawberry Wine" and for the record, I don't even think it's much like the Notebook at all! :) 25,750 words/COMPLETE Escape from Stardom: Its the story of celebrity Abbey Ireland, who is sick of her stressful life as a singer. She decides to disguise herself and hide out in a tiny mountain town, just to get some peace and quiet. She doesn't expect to fall in love with one of the residents. But Josh doesn't know her real identity and Abbey is terrified that she'll lose him when he finds out. 56,821 words/COMPLETE Miranda's Gift: Its the short tale of a little girl who is dying of cancer and the way she says goodbye to her mommy. I've got a tissue warning placed on this, so make sure you're wearing waterproof mascara. 2,974 words/COMPLETE COMING SOON: As of yet untitled: Once I get a few chapters written, I'll start posting. It will be a pretty heart-breaking story of love and loss, but I won't tell you much more until it's debut. Several other projects: I have several stories written in notebooks and they just take a very long time to type and upload.
