Author has written 106 stories for General, Life, Friendship, War, Nature, Haiku, Song, Religion, Fantasy, Love, School, and Family. So, 2005 passed without me writing as many poems as I expected. Therefore, this year, I'm not making any promises that I'll post anything here. I'm not quite leaving, but don't expect me to be too active on this site. I wasn't very active throughout 2005 anyway, and that's regrettable because the people on this site have meant a lot to me over the years. However, I can't seem to write like I used to, I can't seem to sit down and develop ideas into poems anymore. The good thing is that I think I know what's at the core of this problem which gives me hope that I will eventually return to writing poetry on a regular basis. I miss doing that. I really do hope to overcome this hurdle in 2006, but in the meanwhile, all I have to offer are my old pieces of work. Any opinions you may have would still be greatly appreciated. xOx "May the sun bring you new energies by day, may the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away any worries you may have. May gentle breezes refresh your soul and all the days of your life. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty." "I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment, and making the most of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity." "You can chase a butterfly all over the field and never catch it. But if you sit quietly in the grass, it will come and sit on your shoulder." "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." "Even in the dark, a little star shines." |
