I'm the person I most like to stereotype, especially when talking about myself. So I could tell you about my nature, but I could talk about that forever and I'd probably bore you to death. For, as you can probably gather from my stories, I am a deeply introspective, analytical teenager who thinks too much and feels too little, but strives to maintain a balance. I also like talking about myself too much, which is why I'm going to stop. By the way, I picked this pen name because Platypi are some of the coolest things on the planet. Oh, also, this is Marnee, the 17 year old female from New England. Yep, that's me.

Spare the Rod by Long Live the Losers reviews
A little bit of bleeding, the benefits of medication, and yet another reason you've got to have friends. We're fighting the world, still mourning our dead, and facing college just around the corner. Wherever you go, there you are.

A short, catchy poem that describes a type of relationship. I like to review back! Written a long time ago. /To call them candles is far too kind/

I wish I could paint a picture of what I mean by this poem, but instead I express myself through the English language. How can you summarize poetry? Review pretty please.

The Yesteryear: a monologue on writing reviews
A pretty short dramatic monologue I wrote, with an intended odd dialect, that people told me affected them and made them think. Best when spoken aloud.

A Midsummer Night's Dream reviews
A summary of Shakespeare's play by the same title. Quite rhymey, but everyone was terribly impressed in seventh grade :)

These Things Have I Learned reviews
Inspired by the Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie, a little book of so many wisdoms you cannot take them all in at once. This is a summary of the philosophy of life I picked up from that book.

Rut reviews
Made for analyzation. Reminded me of an Emily Dickinson poem, because when I read Emily I don't understand first time, and I didn't understand this while writing it. I'm really interested in ppl's interpretations.

A rather symmetric poem in which I played with language and structure; couplet form. PG: slightly violent imagery.

An Odd Beginning reviews
My attempt to reveal, unabashedly and without the characteristic trembling, myself and inner essence. A cross between my waxing philosophical, self-analysis, and fleeing for safety to the subject of my loved ones, to form what was meant to be a mini-memo

See It Drip reviews
Very uncharacteristic of me, dark and rythmic, and odd... about metaphorical cutting (why I would cut if I ever did). The poem that began my writing of poetry this school year.

Life is Such a Game
Unfinished because of my writer's block... I was trying to put so many things in it. If anyone has suggestions on where to go next, that'd be great.

Infinity reviews
My first and only love poetry I've ever done, and so not typical lovey dovey mush, went deeper than that I think. Wrote it after watching people I love perform in "The Laramie Project."

Restless reviews
I wish there were a category of "Emotion," because that's what I was trying to describe in this poem... one of my emotions. Wrote it while in health class, and I wanted to cry so bad because all I wanted to do was run and keep on running, and instead I h

Fairly terrible poem I wrote for an Earth Day contest. Guess I'm putting it up to humiliate myself, lower my ego even further.

Ode to My Cat reviews
This is a description of my beautiful, cute, but terribly dumb kittie Pumpkin, who I wrote a poem for mostly because I don't give her enough attention (nobody does - her brother is far more interesting, because he isn't constantly begging for love).

Wandering in the Desert reviews
This really is just a summary of a chapter of the book of Numbers (Bamidbar). Not deep or anything, but I was in 7th grade, and in my obsessive rhyming stage, so I forgive myself.

Delectable Digression reviews
I know this isn't really fiction, rather a personal essay, but this is how I defined myself last year, and is what I should have written in my bio, but just uploaded it instead. Lazy of me. So read it if you want to know too much about me. Nyeh.

Shades of Meaning reviews
This is the first story I've ever really put my heart into, written two years ago, a very introspective piece. Now that I look back at it, I don't like it - the ending feels wrong. Ah well I'll edit it soon - I even started dreaming about how to do it..
