1.
wander the gallery
white partitions
and find us everywhere
bodies projected
like ghosts
in a haunted house

an aquarium filled with
skulls and conch shells
electric green water
where we writhe and tumble

or I am lying
down on the table
in glitter tutus
the fake blood ready
you start to sever
with huge steel blades

~ Francesca Lia Block (Primavera)

2.
Pink gloss taffeta
beneath cascading light
the wind shines and your eyes
are gleam-water
when you smash the sheet glass
into webs
the night shatters too
I wear rhinestones like the fragments

What matters except that we shine
like taffeta in the strange river light of
drugged houses
candles in pink smoked glass
our teeth are sharpened to points and we
suck
white wine
they cut everything -- our teeth.

~Francesca Lia Block (Primavera)
