Takes place in a fictional alternate universe version of China. Starts off with a short blurb from the perspective of a descendant about the circumstances of the family in modern times. Then flashes back to about the second to third generation past the point when the Qing Dynasty was founded to explore narratively the family history.

Watched a bunch of youtube videos and couldn't get to sleep. Wound up with this song in my head, played around with the words a bit, and then I got this.

In this world, if the world was a game, then the ultimate level to be achieved would be God level. You get told from the start that this is the impossible level to achieve. Yet how many people even knowing this would still proceed to play the game? We're humans after all. Humans have that kind of pride. To meet God at THE level... how to play such an impossible game? No one knows.

When playing life like a game, never play against God, but always play with... even as you're tempting fate and asking God when your final hour will be. This one never tells you. If you ask the Nameless One... Timeless One... in prayers, the only response you will ever get: is roll the bones.

Wrote this as follow-up to Perfect Fire poem, as well as an ode to current firestorm raging in California as of 12/29/2017. We live in interesting times. May humanity last at least a few more centuries and the Quetzalcoatl be an honorable entity should this being be summoned into the mortal realm. Read and review if you can.

A little bit of reflection on recent Hollywood scandals and such, trying to figure out what it might be like to try to live under circumstances of lime-light, fame, desperate and often beautiful people afraid to fail and thus in some respects somewhat tragically doomed to fall. Arguably speaking, difficult enough to live just a regular life unscathed by the trials of adult living.

Message to would be crusaders, the would be knight errant, the would be servant to some bright and noble savior... There's more than one person in the world, attempting to figure out what God is about. You are just a human. Your messengers are also human. So then... how do you listen to God? Keyword here: listen

This is a poem I wrote after recent events in New York as of 11/01/2017 1:34 for Eastern Standard Time in the United States. I checked up with some friends, and they're mostly okay. Whatever. Battle on in the multiverses or whatever. Pulling out popcorn at a funeral is highly inappropriate.

I tried my hand at utterly depressing poetry, inspired by a friend who has a knack for writing utterly depressing poems. I tried to make it slightly uplifting or with that just a little bit of whimsical and tragically romantic. Hopefully this comes through. Also inspired by multiple tragic events that have been happening lately circa 10/x/2017

Wrote this around about the time of California fires circa 10/12/2017 and also after the multiple hurricanes hitting the SE US plus Caribbean islands and probably other places besides. And also Las Vegas... Sometimes in face of news on these kinds of things, takes some processing. I guess in essence that's what this all is for me. Lemme know what you think if you want.

This is a completely fictional account based only on my limited knowledge of the battlefield reading about it from various news articles on-line. If the story following the poem resembles too much someone's actual life event, this is not something I am writing while aware of such. Review if you want... or flame my horrible poetry skills. In 3015, through the advancement of quantum technologies, colonization of extraterrestrial land has become a possibility. A team of scientists and military personnel are sent to explore and colonize a planet eerily similar to earth. There, they find a creature resembling an octopus, which due to appearance became dubbed as Cthulhu. Sentient species from different worlds meet.

People who have some knowledge of China and Chinese food (and I mean like, the real kind), would get this poem better than people who don't. Still, I tried to explain it a bit before start of poem and not sure if the explanation honestly helped or isn't really necessary for understanding. In some ways, food is food after all, especially if you're starving to death because of...

Last line is most important, but I honestly had a hard time deciding between "Come lie To me" or "Come lie With me". Both would provide equally interesting and poignant meaning to the poem in my opinion, but considerably different ones. If you review at all, tell me which you'd prefer.

Wrote this after a day of wandering around Philly. Got some inspiration after listening to an audio-book version of a story entitled Complicated by an author by the name of Kirsten Ashley who writes romance novels. I had a specific melody in mind when writing this, and an image of Joan of Arc in punk rocker outfit singing with cool looking guitar in the middle of a march/protest in Europe. In my mind such would make an awesome music video.

This poem I wrote as sort of a response to the poem a friend of mine wrote. It's about how one might view pain and learn to live with it. I used analogy of sand and desert in honor of my friend too, because she's a cactus youkai. :

Funny how I wrote most of this prior to the Arab Spring over in the Middle East, and all the things that have been going on globally. The stuff I wrote then seems eerily relevant now, so I decided to fix some grammar issues and resubmit it.

My first attempt at a lyrical poem. It's supposed to be about freedom, letting go of fears, and singing your heart out. It's also intended to have a bit of a motivational, what-the-heck-are-you-doing-just-sitting-in-your-chair kind of message to it.

With so much hype in the media right now, some things I observed got me thinking. This is just my way of abstractly dealing with these thoughts and expressing them in the form of poetry.

You never know when the world might end

Doors, choices, alone, meeting, gaze, silence, keep walking

Live life to the fullest, scream, shout, cry. What can we do with our thoughts and our actions?

Who cares about heaven? Who cares about hell? All I want... is to live here on earth.

In search of an ideal "alien nation" sometimes the aliens get "alienated". Background information on myself: I live in the United States. Although from what I remember of what I've seen and read, this could be said for Europe nowadays as well...

We search through life for an answer. Is there really an end to life? Or are we merely living in cycles, like the phoenix and the flame.
