Author has written 14 stories for Romance, General, Young Adult, and Essay. Hello all! I'm just an ordinary college female student living/going to school in New Jersey. I'll be turning 20 soon (gasp...I feel so old). I used to hate procrastinating, but now that I'm in college, I've become lazier. Ah well. Such is life. I'm an economics major, although, frankly, I'd really just love to get some hot shot banking job, work for some odd number of years, retire early, and then spend the rest of my days writing. I know, I know. Still, one can dream. Anyway, here are some random favorites of mine: Books - Ultimate fave is A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. I also adore anything by Jane Austen. Other books I like include: Sarah Dessen books (especially The Truth About Forever and Just Listen), The Great Gatsby, Great Expectations, An Old-Fashioned Girl, Harry Potter, Elizabeth Gaskell, Meg Cabot and other select chick lit. I also like some nonfiction, usually related to finance and globalization. Music - Mostly pop, rock, and occasionally country. Muses include: Jackson Browne, Matt Nathanson, Colbie Caillat, Jason Reeves, Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood, Simon & Garfunkel, Enrique Iglesias, Train, Joshua Radin, Christopher Jak...the list goes on, as I have about two thousand songs on my iPod. But, as you can see, a good amount of variety, although not much R&B/rap, as I'm not too into that stuff. Movies - Um, pretty much only chick flicks. I need to expand my horizons, clearly. Although I did like "Million-Dollar Baby" a lot, which is certainly not a chick flick. Anyway, my favorites in the romantic comedy genre are 27 Dresses, Music & Lyrics, 13 Going on 30, Love Actually, Titanic... TV - I don't watch much TV, but I adore Gilmore Girls and currently am watching Brothers and Sisters. Oh, and I intend to watch more Glee some time in this century. As soon as I finish my neverending pile of work. Other random favorites: mint gum (especially Orbit sweet mint), chocolate (chemically enhanced American chocolate is delicious, but so is European chocolate - especially German), organic peanut butter, cashmere sweaters, cute nerdy boys with dark rimmed glasses (like my Econ 100 TA, but too bad he was engaged), cheesy love songs, iPods, Macbooks, flavored sparkling water, Cheez-Its, anything strawberry-flavored, the color green, British period dramas, British actors, British literature (can you sense a pattern?), I write a lot in the romance genre, although, in real-life, I have about zero experience in love/relationships. I don't believe in "The One", but I do believe in finding someone who makes you happy and staying loyal to him for life. I love romance cliches, but I like reading stories with more than just romance involved in the conflict. I like it when the love interest doesn't completely dominate the thoughts of the main character. I also dislike love triangles, just because I find them frustrating and feel bad for the person who does get hurt. I usually like stories with the main couple(s) as either best friends or enemies. Best friend cliches are adorable and love-hate relationships amuse me immensely. I also like arranged marriage stories, although I'm really not sure why, because I'd be pretty pissed if it happened to me in reality. If you want to chat, just send me a message! I love meeting new people. My homepage is set to Facebook, so feel free to add me as a friend (along with a message just to let me know who you are). Character Pictures for Love Crashes In: Playlist: http:///playlist/18529079563 Update (2/1/10): Um... yeah. I suck at updating, clearly. But don't worry - I will finish "Lattes, Green Tea, and Other Corporate Affairs" no matter what it takes! But new classes have begun and because I have an unhealthy obsession with doing well in school, I'm busy with homework. But the next chapter will be up by maybe this weekend? Anyway, my apologies for anyone who has been waiting for updates from anything of mine. |
