My name is Andrew. I joined FictionPress when I was sixteen. I was a Junior in high school back then and had been writing stories of all sorts since the fifth grade. The first story I ever wrote was an original fiction piece, all the characters were my friends or were made up characters by me. But I got into doing FanFics around the age of fourteen, maybe fifteen, and have continued doing so. My best work, or so I think, comes from when I actually put my brain to use and come up with a plot line for an original piece. Which is the main reason for why I joined FictionPress, to show off those few original works of mine. My parents told me back when I first got heavily into writing that it was nothing more than wishful thinking. Being a writer is a dream, not a career. My wife is the only person who really puts forth any support for this "dream" of mine. And while I have lost most of my determination and drive, I always know that she'll be there to help me stand when I start down that narrow road.
