Hi! My name is Kat...but I thought this name was more interesting to use as a pen name. ValkyrieRavenfeather refers to my nationality. I am Norwegian on my father's side, but there is American Indian on my mother's side--Mesquakie (also known as Fox) Indian, to be precise. A valkyrie in Norse mythology was a female warrior who took the souls of fallen soldiers to Valhal, where they would live forever in glory with the chief god, Odin. As for Ravenfeather...well, some Native American tribes were known to wear bird feathers on their headdresses. I don't know if the Fox did, but I like the name.

Name: Kat--no last names included!!! ^^

Location: America. No specifics.

Nicknames: Captain, El Gato (by Mr. Guenther) La Chat (by Derek) Kit Kat (by Xanatos, and I glare murderously at him when he says it). DO NOT CALL ME KITTY OR YOU SHALL SUFFER A PAINFUL AND BLOODY DEATH.

Age: 17

Race: Norwegian and Mesquakie(People of the Red Earth; Fox)Indian

Languages spoken: English and some Spanish, very minimal Japanese and sign language

Hair: Red with dyed purple streaks

Sign: Scorpio. LOL, I don't think I'm mean--although I like to use creative insults when I get ticked off--but I am intense. Still not sure if I believe in the whole astrology thing anyway. I don't like the idea that some force that we call fate controls my every move. What's the point of living if it's all planned out for you?

Sexual orientation: Bisexual. If you are a homosexual who thinks bisexuality doesn't exist and I'm a closet lesbian, you're wrong. If you're a heterosexual who thinks I'm just confused or trying to get attention, you're wrong too. I actually thought I was a lesbian at first, but I realized I liked guys too.

Religion: Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. I'm proud of it, but I am supportive of people of other religions as well. It embarrasses me that conservative Christians insult everyone and make fools out of themselves. It's not the fault of the"devil-worshipers" that Christianity has become so unpopular as of late. It is the fault of the fanatics.

Clique: None. I'm sort of a loner at school. Don't get me wrong; I have friends. I'm friends with a couple of cheerleaders, the art club kids, the band dorks, the writers, the goths, the incredibly perfect smart kids...but I really don't belong in any one group. I'm not fond of social tags, although if anything I'm a "closet" goth--but I like to keep my mind open.

As of recently, a group that could be considered a clique has taken me in, but I feel free to make friends outside of it as well. Still, I love all of my friends, so I must mention them here. Hello to Joey, Chris, Maddie, Melissa, Nick, Sarah, Kathryn, Aaron, Lauren, Chelsie, Chelsea, Frank, Amber, and Mackenzie, if any of you ever read this.

Hobbies: Karate (brownbelt), piano, choir (alto/sorprano), reading (almost always), art, writing

Family: I live with my parents, who are still married, my little brother, three cats (Socks, Sarah, and Bama), and a puppy named Raven-Lenore, after the poem by Edgar Allan Poe. I had a kitten named Avalon Eres, but she died a few days ago. I cried a lot. My parents got me a new kitten named Echo Phantom, and I love her but I still miss Avalon.

Best friend: Xanatos--he's sort of related to me, too, but I'm not going to bother explaining how that works...

Boyfriend/Girlfriend: I recently broke up with my boyfriend. I have no regrets about it. So I don't want anyone trying console me; I'm not upset. I broke up with him.

Political Affiliation: Um...really, if I were old enough to vote, I'd vote for whoever gets the job done. I don't vote according to political party. For obvious reasons, I am pro-gay marriage. The reason that homosexuals can't marry is because of stupid religious zealots' ideas, and America is NOT a theocracy. It's none of the government's business who we get married to. I'm also pro-life but pro-euthanasia (I think a person should have a CHOICE whether they live or die), and in-between on gun laws (I don't think all guns should be taken away, but I don't think a private citizen should own an M-16).

Favorite Authors: Ray Bradbury, David Gerrold, Laurell K. Hamilton, Chris Paolini, J.K. Rowling, Jonathan Stroud, Edgar Allan Poe, William Shakespeare, Eoin Colfer, Michael Crichton, Stephen King, my best friend Xanatos

Favorite Books: Anita Blake series, Inhertiance series (Eragon), Harry Potter, Bartimaeus Trilogy, To Kill A Mockingbird, Beowulf, Artemis Fowl, Jurassic Park, The Princess Diaries series (the movies SUCKED big time though), Carrie, What Is Goth?, Phantom

Favorite Movies: Phantom of the Opera, Jurassic Park, 10 Things I Hate About You, Saved, Silence of the Lambs, Star Wars, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Exorcism of Emily Rose (OMG, that movie's freaky!), Underworld, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Crucible

Favorite Anime: Hellsing, Gundam Wing, Inuyasha, Card Captor Sakura

Favorite TV Shows: Law and Order: SVU, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, House, Monk, Ghost Hunters,M*A*S*H, Desperate Housewives (my Mom, my cousin Tara, and I all watch it together LOL)

Favorite Artists: Frida Kahlo, Georgia O'Keefe, Nene Thomas

Favorite Bands/Singers: Evanescence, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Linkin Park, Seether, Elton John, Avril Lavigne (love her music, don't like her as a person), Michelle Branch, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Johann Sebastian Bach, Kamelot, Sirenia, Tristania, No Doubt,H.I.M. (well...okay, so I have an odd taste in music.)

Hates: Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, e.e. cummings, Ernest Hemingway, Picasso, sex offenders, homophobes, stupid people, religious fanatics of any religion, racists, people who marry and divorce at the drop of a hat, people who are overly promiscuous (it's not just a religious thing; it's not healthy), and people who are too lazy to run a spelling/grammar check on their work.

Obsessed with: vampires, sci-fi/fantasy, vampires,Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, vampires, kittens, and vampires.

As you may have noticed, I have way too much free time on my hands. (And really like vampires!) Other than that...I'm just crazy.
