Author has written 16 stories for Fantasy, General, Essay, Kids, Nature, General, and Sci-Fi.

Greetings! You've found Ruatha's Fictionpress site! I write mostly fantasy, with the occasional poem or serious essay thrown in. Feel free to check it out.

Some professional authors who have greatly influenced my writing include:
Isaac Asimov, Tom Clancy, David Eddings, Robert Ludlum, Anne McCaffery, and David Weber

I'm a great believer in return reviews. If you review my works, I WILL review one of yours. Guarranteed :) I encourage everyone to do the same. Also, for those who enjoy reading without ever commenting, bear in mind that the reason most people post on Fictionpress is so others can read their works -- which means that if it appears like no one is reading it, they'll stop posting. So do yourselves a favor and drop a quick note telling the author that you're interested in reading more. Even something as simple as, "Thanks. I'm really enjoying this!" can be useful. More useful yet is an explanation of WHY you are (or are NOT) enjoying the story. Please, I urge you to help out: review!

About my stories:

I believe in writing realistic fiction, and as such, I try to make my characters and plots as plausible as possible, thus keeping the happenings of my stories within the clearly defined boundaries of their own worlds.

About my poetry:

I got tired of my homepage looking cluttered, so I combined my poetry into two categories: nature poems and non-nature poems. There are multiple chaptes in each of these two collections, and each poem is unrelated to the others surrounding it.

About my short stories and essays:

I also recently combined my serious essays on politcal and social topics into one multi-chapter entry. Beyond that are a handful of short stories and my grammar review, which I encourage you to refer to if you need technical help with your writing.

Thanks in advance for your reviews, and I hope you enjoy my works!

Ruatha
