.:Updates:.
(11/22/10) Well. I'm alive. Real life really sucks sometimes. On a good note, my writer's block seems to have finally started to go away. I'm working on a couple stories that won't end up being very long. I'm aiming to get at least one of them finished and posted before I start back in on the Halloways. That story's kicking my butt and I'm thinking about taking it down until I can devote some more time to it. Thank you to everyone who's been so supportive and encouraging.
.:About Me:.
I'm a twenty-one year old self employed cowgirl. As much as it blows me away, people actually pay me to ride their horses. There's nothing quite like loving your job. My little brother is a United State Army Infantry Soldier and as much as that scares me, I'm extremely proud of him. So, since all my stories have strong ties to my real life experiences, if you have a problem with horses, cowboys, big trucks, or the military, this probably isn't the place for you to be.
.:Stories:.
Completed:
Diamond S Bar:
London's world crumbled when her horse died. He was just a horse, but he'd been her best friend and confidant for twelve years. When they buried him they also buried her love of riding. Her parents, as icing on the cake, decided it was a good time to head out of the country to become missionaries for a year. Her uncle, the foreman on a ranch in Breeze Hill, Montana takes her in. The ranch is the best thing that ever happened to her as far as London's concerned. She rediscovers her love of horses and finds a surrogate family.
Underdog:
Cadice had life figured out. She was quick, smart, and driven. She had known exactly what she wanted and where she wanted to be since she was in elementry school. Her job as an athletic trainer with the NFL was her dream job and it allowed her to work closely with her brother. Clint came along and disrupted her plans. He was arrogant, charming, and good at his job. It wasn't in his nature to let go of something he wanted and he wanted Candice. He just had to convince her to give him a chance.
Cowboy Chronicles:
Just a collection of short stories. All one-shots, all completed, and all about cowboys. If you're looking for a nice, light read that will put a smile on your face, take a look.
Bloodlust:
One-Shot. Lane came from a questionable background. After nearly beating his mother's abusive boyfriend, who put his mom in a coma, to death with his bare hands he goes to live with the Dean family. It doesn't take very long for him to realize the bad breaks in life can actually be blessings in disguise.
Ranger:
One-Shot. I don't drink and I don't dance. I don't know how I ended up in a bar for my birthday. Maybe it was so I'd meet Major Dakota Daniels.
All in a Lifetime:
She was a screaming three month old baby the first time he met her. He was six. For twenty-two years they were nearly inseperable, whether he wanted to be or not. It took him screwing up to realize he never wanted to be apart from her for any reason.
Incomplete:
Meet the Halloways:
I have five older brothers and no mom. We grew up on a dairy farm in Southern Ohio and I grew up just as wild as my brothers. It would have been more of a surprise if I had turned out to be anything but a tomboy. Two of my brothers end up playing football for Ohio State. I loved visiting them on campus. How was I supposed to know I'd meet Trick Storms and better yet, how was I supposed to know not even my five overgrown brothers would deter him? (Warning: This story is on hold indefinately. Chpt 17 explains why. I'm really sorry.)
