![]() Author has written 11 stories for Romance. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer? Hmmm…always. I enjoy stories and reading and I like making up my own world. I guess it really hit me in college, when I spent more time on my stories than on my work. Needless to say, the homework suffered, but the stories were a huge hit. Depends on the book. Some, the short ones anyway, take about two or three months. The novels…take forever. I’m still working on one and this has been about two years in the making. It also depends on whether it’s already written in my head or if I have to force it out. Schedule…what is that? All kidding aside, I don’t have one. I write when the urge hits and then go with it until I just don’t have anything left to put down. It could be days or even weeks before I come back to the story. Hmmm…I must have a play list for every type of mood that I want to create. If I don’t, then I will spend the 15 or 20 min to build one before I can proceed with the scene. Where do you get your information or ideas for your books? A lot of research and dedication. I get the ideas sometimes from dreams that I have or from stories that I’ve heard and think…I could do that, only this way.
Crafting. Anything that has to do with making something out of nothing or barely anything. I like to scrapbook and make cards, stitch, and crochet, make bath products. What does your family think of your writing? My husband both hates and loves it. Hates it because I make him read the stories as I write them, no matter the order of the scenes. Then he gets lost and upset that he has no idea what’s going. Loves it because I think he likes my stories.
Uhhh…I think 20 or so. Some good, so bad I deleted them. My fav? Hmmm…I’d have to stay Changes. I took a different writing style in that book and I felt that it was more me and less wishy washy. I do. For the most part they are honest and take the time to really tell me how they feel about my characters and what they like. I enjoy the reviews and the crits they leave on each chapter. It helps me become a better writer and evolve. I do. It keeps the mind sharp.
Rich and famous. About me: I crave criticism, but not outright disrespect. If you don't like the story, give me a valid reason why, but not the tired "I don't know, I just don't". Thank you and enjoy. I also write both het stories and gay/lesbian stories. I try not to fall into sterotypes when i do this, wanting to bring something fresh to the table. If you don't like these stories...don't read them. Simple as that. I always post warnings, so you will be surprised. Thoughts: Though I hope to one day be published, and I would love to see my books in print, it’s starting to become clear that it may not be my path in life, at least not right now. With my business taking up much of my time, I’m starting to see that I can’t run ragged the way I used to when I was younger. Something’s got to give. Not the writing completely, perhaps just the trying to get published. I can always try later, but right now, it may not be right for me. I’ll still post stories here, even the one’s I held back for publishing. I love writing and I love my reviewers here. So no fears on that. Just…I’m at a fork in the road and I gotta sit down and think about this before I head off in the wrong direction. |
