Author has written 1 story for Historical.
Hello! First of all, thanks for looking at this and for reading my writing!!!

These are a few of the books I enjoy:
Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Betty Smith
Enemy Women, Paulette Jiles
Dolley,Rita Mae Brown
Stardust, Neil Gailman (spelling? but it's a great book...probably my very favorite)
Ann Rinaldi books
There are more (believe me- I practically always have a book in my hand; especially historical fiction) but I'll stop there.
As far as movies and TV goes, my favorite movies are (obviosuly) Moulin Rouge, Orange County (it may look really stupid, but when you like in a town exactly the main character's, it becomes a life changing film), and Lord of the Rings. I also like Strictly Ballroom by Baz Lurhman (the Moulin Rouge guy) and want to see Romeo+Juliet. I also love musicals (i know, i know) and my favorite there is "Thoroughly Modern Millie"-it's the best!

I pretty much and your basic "arts" freak who loves all the old movies (you haven't lived until you've seen a Louise Brooks film!-haha), and all that kind of stuff.
I suppose I'm a little "odd" by normal terms...well, okay, a lot odd. But then again, I'm not actually sure I agree with normal terms because conformity, in my opinion, is the biggest sin in the world.
And I like history- I'm a "Civil War Buff" except I'm not a guy and I'm not 80 years old...I also enjoy, as you can probably tell, Bohemian France, and my "new found" historical period is the Jazz Age- what I would give to be a flapper!

E-mail me if you feel like it- I'd love to meet some new people- especially writers, as I don't exactly have that much in common with my Appalachian neighbors...
Thanks and all that good stuff!
