Likes: writing and reading (duh!), Titanic (ship not the movie), vampire romances, Harry Potter, history, Lost, So You Think You Can Dance, etc.
Dislikes: rude and obnoxious people, cliched high school romances, cliched and purple prose filled novels (ex: Twilight) and oh, people who accuse others of doing something without the full story and/or without listening to the the other person in the first place, people who claim any of my vampire stories are copying Twilight without bothering to read said story or stories. etc.

Well, like I said up there , my name is Sarah and I'm 34 years old. I have been a member of fictionpress since 2003. I joined back when I was about 15, but I started writing when I was about 13. My first ever story was a Harry Potter fanfiction that I thought was SO awesome when I first wrote it, but looking back now it was really nothing but pure crap with my main character being such an obvious self insert Mary Sue it's not even funny. And... no, it will never see the light of day, so don't even ask to see it! I don't think anyone would want to see it anyway... it might make your eyes bleed... yes, it's that bad.
I have always wanted to be a writer, but after a semester spent student teaching, I've realized that I really like teaching. Don't get me wrong, I still love to write and I will continue to do so, but I no longer have the goal to be published. I actually got my Bachelor's in History back in May 2010... with intentions to teach high school history, but then I got put into a sixth grade social studies classroom for student teaching and realized how much I loved those children. I received my Masters or Arts in Teaching in 2012 and currently teach 7th grade ELA at a great school with awesome students and an amazing staff.
I don't really know what else to say here... I'm a pretty average girl with an overactive imagination with a pretty big obsession with vampires (but that is fading now... thanks to Twilight, now every vampire story that comes out is compared to and/or accused of copying that poor excuse for a novel, so they're getting kind of boring and annoying now). I am a hopeless romantic at heart and love a nice sappy cliche as much as the next girl... which is why all my stories are romances. I'm a bit obsessed. I'm a pretty random person... I laugh at most things and find the stupidest and most random things hilarious while others just stare at me and wonder what the hell I'm on.
I have to say, though, that only my friends know the true me, I come off as quiet at first... but I'm really not, once I open up to you. Sure, I'm not the loudest or the most obnoxious person you'll ever meet, but I'm also not the quiet bookworm type that sits in the back of the class and doesn't say a word to anyone either. I'm a mix between the two really.
My story ideas come from my brain most of the time; lately though, they've been based loosely on the very odd dreams I've been having. My poems, on the other hand, come from my heart.
My characters aren't really based on anyone... though, my main female characters all have one or two of my characteristics (ex: Elizabeth is stubborn like me, Casey is quiet like I am around people I don't know, Victoria shares my idea that girls can do pretty much anything a guy can do (within reason of course), etc).
Like I said up there in my dislikes, I hate people who accuse me of copying Twilight without bothering to read the story they are claiming is a copy of Twilight. Please people, if you're going to accuse me of copying Twilight with any of my vampires stories... at least have the respect to READ THE DAMN STORY before you make such an outlandish claim. Seriously, if you don't read it, I will not take your opinion seriously.
Please read and review my stuff! I love getting new reviewers/readers (makes me feel special :)) So, at least take a look, it couldn't hurt, could it?
And if you are a dedicated reader and/or reviewer, thanks! Your support makes me write more and more... okay, not really, but it makes me write faster knowing that people will actually be reading what I worked so hard on...(makes me get off my lazy ass). I would say that the more reviews I get the faster I'll update, but that is such a lie, so I won't.

And the softball team is one of the first to go. Victoria loves the sport, she's been playing for so long on and is not at all happy with the school's decision. But instead of going to the school board and appealing the decision, she and her fellow team mates decide that trying out for the baseball team is a much better idea. After all, they all feel they can play it just as well as the boys and this appears to be the perfect opportunity to show them what they can do. However, Victoria did not expect to be the only girl who actually went through with the plan, nor was she expecting to be the only one to make the team either. She has to put up with crap from her fellow team mates, specifically a certain Mr. Jared Peterson, who doesn't like the idea of a girl playing baseball, especially a girl like Victoria. On and off the field, she continuously has to prove herself to him, for he doesn't think she's worthy. To make things worse, she has to hide from those jealous of her (the boys who didn't make the team because of her and even her former softball teammates have turned against her). AND balance school and work. This is going to be one hell of a school year
