ANNOUNCEMENTS: October 11 2009: Though I am writing the sequel... it's still not complete and it will take time. So for now, I'm haitus from posting online. June 06 2009: News: Hey. First of all, I'd want to apologize for not keeping my promises of writing and posting online. The reason being, there's so much stuff to learn in med school that I barely have time to think straight. It's an excuse I know, but I just can't write right now. I do write randomly (and I mean, seriously randomly) and I do have a story that's in progress... but I want t finish it and then post it online so that I'll be able to update every week (or every few days). Second, I'm not making any promises but I have started writing a sequel to Mystery of the Night. It's a lot more intriguing (so far) and I'm trying to work on my plots (so it doesn't get messy, and towards the end it's not totally random...). My endings need a lot of work which is why I want to take my time writing and posting my babies. Also I have started writing another supernatural story and I'm sort of stuck... so I have to figure out the plot (sigh) and make it awesome. Third, I want to thank all of you who still read my stories. And review. Spare but it's still surprising that I've been inactive for the last few years and out of the blue I get a review. It melts my heart and I love it. Thank you. Take care. If you have any qs, or just would like to talk, email me. I can't promise to be online all the time (refer to up as to why, lol) so just email me and I'll get in touch. Thank you! Sep 07 2008: Old News: Hello! I'm back! I've started writing again and there's two stories going on... but I want to finish them before I post them up. So look out for a complete rewrite of Mystery of the Night and Rani's story (who was in In My Thoughts... Amina's best friend.) Lol, hopefully you guys will like it. STATUS OF MY STORIES: In Progress: My Personal Asylum Completed Novels: Mystery of the Night Haunted In My Thoughts Stories on Hold HOPE (Indefinately) BIG MUCH (updates will resume...I'm not sure when.) Short Stories Perfect Ugly A Moment Of Life The Late Bride Recommended Stories/Novels Of Mine: Mystery of the Night, I was just a beginner so I wouldn't recommend it. I started writing this story when I was thirteen and my writing skills were not up to par. So, don't read this one. It needs ALOT of editing, one which would require a lot of time and effort...I'll get to it eventually, I promise! Haunted is actually a fave of mine. I took extra time to write this novel and the story idea was completely mine. Read this novel, it's good but still needs editing. In My Thoughts is the novel that I just completed. Because of my own medical career (what career, I should say education) this story has some reference to medicine. It's my most meaningful and message sender to the world. Basically, it's about standing up for yourself even if society is against you. As always, this story needs editing, and therefore will be edited as soon as my muse stops yelling story outlines...which I guess would not be in the near future. In my short story section, I definately recommend A Moment of Life. It's deep, and needs an open mind. The summary doesn't do it justice, and neither does the title when you think about it. But do give it a read. Few Inspirational Quotes: "Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian." ~ Dennis Wholey, 20th/21st century self-help author and journalist. "False hope is worse than despair." ~Jonathan Kozol, American journalist and author (b. 1936) "I do get scared about the physical danger from drug dealers. But it’s not in the same league as the danger I feel eating an 80 lunch with my privileged friends to discuss hunger and poverty. That’s when my soul feels imperiled." ~ Jonathan Kozol, American journalist and author (b. 1936) "There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." ~Edith Wharton, American novelist (1862-1937) "I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word." Martin Luther King Jr., American Civil Rights Leader (1929 - 1968) From his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech. "I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going but I'm on the way." ~ Carl Sandburg, American poet and writer (1878-1967) "Imagination is more important than knowledge." ~ Albert Einstein, Swiss-American mathematician, physicist and public philosopher (1879-1955) "He that’s cheated twice by the same man is an accomplice with the cheater." ~ Thomas Fuller, English divine and author (1608-1661) And my personal fave: "I have found that if you love life, life will love you back." ~ Arthur Rubinstein, Polish-American classical pianist (1887-1982) TO MY READERS: I want to thank everyone who has read and/or reviewed my story. It means the universe and a half to me when I get a review, and that someone out there is reading my imaginary, fictional tales. If you guys have any questions regarding any stories I have written or anything else (what inspires me, why do I write the way I do, or why is the sky blue?) email me or better yet, drop me a review. And if you want me to review your story, let me know! |
