Author has written 11 stories for General, Life, Humor, Haiku, Nature, and Fantasy.File an Iarthar is Irish (OK, OK, Gaelic) for "Poet of the West", which sums up pretty well my occupation and homeland.
I would like to think of myself as a futuristic kind of writer, projecting familiar scenes and places into dystopias in the centuries to come.
My favourite modern books are Stupid White Men (Michael Moore, Penguin), Life of Pi (Yann Martel, Canongate), Samuel Pepys: The Unequalled Self (Claire Tomalin, Penguin) and Schotts Original Miscellany (Ben Schott, Bloomsbury), which is a veritable treasure-trove of useless information.
Favourite 20th century authors: James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, J.D. Salinger.
Favourite 19th Century authors: D.H. Lawrence, Thomas Hardy, Jane Austen, Emily Bronte.
Favourite British Royal:H.R.H. Prince Charles (William Wales is so over-rated)
I will not be extending "The Abortion Party", despite popular demand (note to self:deflate your head!).
