Summary: David is a sophomore in college, a handsome, grade-A student with a boyfriend who loves him, and a family who accepts his sexuality; everything he ever wanted. Or is it…? David is entirely clueless as to what he wants to do with his life, and isn’t even set on a straight set of courses at school. He doesn’t know what he wants, where he wants to go, or if he’s even happy.

Alice is a night club performer at the hottest joint in town, The Midnight Ritual. She’s found her destiny in dance, and never feels as complete anywhere else than she does on the dance floor. But when she’s not, she’s a newbie in college with poor to mediocre grades, has bad social skills, was disowned by her family due to her lesbianism, and fights a never-ending battle against the loneliness that haunts her single life. She knows exactly what she wants: love.

Summary: A beggar befriends a farmer who becomes rich off a prosperous year, but eventually the two clash in the ways of the world of the way a man should be. A collision of the two is how I came up with The Heart of Man as a title. There's not much else to say about this one. A one-shot fable I wrote a while ago.
