Author has written 14 stories for Romance, Humor, General, and Fantasy. Hi there, I'm Tabitha. And I'm BACK! (I've been working and going to school and have not had anytime whatsoever to work on my stories Yeah, so more personal info - I'm a fake redhead, I'm short, and I live in Southern California, though born in Naperville Illinois. Whenever I start writing a story, I'm inspired by one particular factor and I try and write an entire story around it. Here's what the inspirations were for the stories that I've written so far: One Moment of Glory: The song "Glory" from Rent. It's pretty obvious - but yeah. My Millionaire: I love road trips. I wanted to write something about a road trip, thats about it. My Only Hope: Some one actually told me that once - that he was my only hope.. I'm not with him and I'm perfectly happy, so apparently he's not my only hope! This story is not in progress any more - I will not be completing it - see With A Little Help From My Enemy for the story of Kyan and Tess. Adventures in Boarding School: I loved the story by Cordelia Brown and we were working on rewriting it. I had lost contact with her - and now am working on it on my own. I am still going to update this - hopefully soon, too! With A Little Help From My Enemy: This story was steeped in inspiration (for more about that see the last chapter in it for more). However, the real reason why I wrote it was the song "Human," by John McLaughlin. I had a scene of two people dancing to this song and the guy singing it to the girl... I just needed a story to write around it. The Quiet Sound Of Pride: I had not originally intended it to be a retelling of Pride and Prejudice. After I wrote the first chapter, I decided that it would be a cool twist and so I went with it. The line, "I have my foot in a bucket! This is my last dance here, and my foot is in a bucket!" I had that line chapters before I wrote it in the story - also the idea of Darcy paying for her scholarship as well - originally, Wickham wasn't going to play a huge part in it like he did - Darcy and Lizzy were going to be in a Yachting race and Darcy would have deliberately crashed the boat, leaving it to be Lizzy's fault and then she would loose her scholarship - it being Darcy's fault. She was going to twist her ankle on a turn just as she had - but it would have been an angry dance with Darcy. I'm glad that it turned out how it did - I liked Darcy too much to make him a jerk. Not to mention, I just love Pride and Prejudice. Taking Chances: I have a particular scene for this story that I cant write down yet... I know, it's mean, but I cant because I haven't written it into the story yet - I'll put it here as soon as I can. But I will say that the song by Celine Dion, "Taking Chances," is a great song and I was inspired by those lyrics. Also, I love musicians. Being a fellow musician, I greatly enjoy the music department at my college and that building at my school has been a great inspiration to me as well. I want to thank all my reviewers! I absolutely love you all! You've really made me want to write! Whenever I feel bad about myself, I just read your reviews and all of a sudden I'm feeling one hundred percent better! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Always the Profile Quotes: "Well behaved women rarely make history." ~ Laurel Thatcher Ulrich (thank you, voposama for telling me the author of this quote!) |
