Hello. I am a writer, and that is essentially all you really need to know about me to read my pieces, but nonetheless, I shall provide you with some background information.

There are three things I live for in life--writing, music, and swimming. These are the things I can't picture my life without, and, if outside forces try to take any of that away from me, I can swear that I will fight to the death to get them back.

Some things that inspire me: Pirates of the Caribbean, John Mayer, Stephen King, Tom Wilkens, Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien, Morrie from Tuesdays With Morrie (By Mitch Albom), Dead Poets Society, Jamie Sullivan from A Walk To Remember (By Nicholas Sparks), Stargirl from Stargirl (By Jerry Spinelli), nature, choir people, theater folk, guitar lyricists, sunrises and sunsets, Christopher Paolini, Michelle Branch, musicians, Michael Phelps, sunflowers, warm weather, snow, Shakespeare, mythology, clouds, the ocean, hot chocolate, sonnets, love stories, Ryan Cabrera, dragons, Stephen King, spring, rain, sunshine, coffee & tea.

In the arms of the angel
Far away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

Update (August 8, 2005): Chapter 5 of Swimming Lessons is now up!

The Reason - Hoobastank

I'm not a perfect person
As many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you

I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
Thats why i need you to hear

I've found a resaon for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is You x4

I'm not a perfect person
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you

I've found a reason to show
A side of me you didn't know
A reason for all that I do
And the reason is you

Spanish Song - Ryan Cabrera

How about we start all over and change our lives for good,
Can we make it last forever? We'd make it I know we would,
If I could only take back that day, and wash all those feelings away,
so far away, so far away from you,You are so beautiful to me
that I can't even help myself, no I can't breath untill you know that

CHORUS: You are the one, your the only one I want
You are the one that I dream of
don't you know that, you can see
You mean everything to me
You are the one that I dream of, the only one I need

How about we take our time now, just don't push me out that door,
I just can't live thinking we will never love if our love is not for sure,
Why can't you believe me when I say
I'm sorry for the way, I hurt you, I'm sorry,
But you are so beautiful to me that I can't even help myself,
no I can't breath untill you know that

CHORUS

Now it's time for movie quotes!!

"Elizabeth, I should have told you every day from the moment I met you... I love you."

"You just have to ask yourself: What kind of person are you? Are you the type that sees signs? Sees miracles? Or do you think that people just get lucky? Maybe there are no coincidences?"

"From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you."

"What does your heart tell you?"

"Don't be afraid of death, Winnie. Be afraid of the unlived life."

"Real loss is only possible when you love something more than you love yourself."

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life? Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse." That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"

"Men will hunt us and the gods will curse us, but I will love you. Until the day they burn my body, I will love you."

"Sometimes Goliath kicks the shit out of David. But the thing is, no one goes on to tell that story."

"I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love. Love above all. No... not the artful postures of love, not playful and poetical games of love for the amusement of an evening, but love that... overthrows life. Unbiddable, ungovernable... like a riot in the heart, and nothing to be done, come ruin or rapture. Love... like there has never been in a play."

"Every moment is a chance to turn it all around."
