NEWS UPDATE (1/23/11:)

You must forgive me for the fact that I haven't updated in over 3 weeks. Day's Journey is officially on hiatus until I've both moved into my new apartment and become a bit less obsessed with my music. So for now Day and Azzy are still stuck in that room, awaiting my instructions...and awaiting...

NEWS UPDATE (1/1/11:)

Happy New Years to all! You must forgive the fact that there is no new chapter of Day's Journey this week. I've been busying myself with guitar, knitting, and holiday cooking. I promise there will be one next week!

NEWS UPDATE (12/25/10:)

Merry Christmas, everybody! Your gift is a new chapter of Day's Journey. Enjoy!

NEWS UPDATE (12/17/10:)

Hey guys. I'm just writing here to announce that there more than likely won't be a chapwter of Day's Journey out this weekend. I haven't even started work on it yet, and even though it's more than likely possible for me to write it within 24-48 hrs, it's probably better for me to actually take time on it and make sure it is legit quality. I will release it as soon as I'm finished.

NEWS UPDATE (12/11/10:)

Day's Journey chapter 10 is out. It appears that I'm going to be on track again. There's a new surprise in this chapter, so please read it (and if you're new, please start from the beginning)! I still have plans for another story, but I haven't worked on it in a few weeks now, so there's no telling how that is going to go now. One chapter is actually completed, but I didn't want to publish until I was sure that I was happy with everything in that and the chapter after it.

NEWS UPDATE (12/3/10:)

I decided to do an early update to Day's Journey: chapter nine is out now, even though it's Friday. Enjoy!

NEWS UPDATE (11/27/10:)

Amazingly, I was able to upload chapter eight of Day's Journey today. Maybe I'll be able to get back on track with weekly updates? Who knows.

In other news, I may be working on a new story. I have no idea what it's going to be about, but it's set in an orphanage/school...somewhere. The kids may or may not have super powers, and I'm still working on character development. Maybe it'll be a little bit like X-men or Animorphs.

NEWS UPDATE (11/24/10:)

Hello all. I just now uploaded chapter seven of my story, Day's Journey, after a three month hiatus. I hadn't been sure if I was going to ever be able to start writing again, but alas, inspiration has hit me. It's a little over a year after the story was first published. Maybe someday, I will be able to see it's completion. Gone are the days when I was able to churn out a 20-chapter story in about three months (ahh, those were the good times).

Birthdate: September 25, 1990

My pen-name gip-k stands (not pronounced jip-k as some tend to do) for Girl In Purple Kimono. As far as I know no one else has it, so all the gip-k's that you see running around on other sites are actually still me.

I've been writing since I was about seven years old. Carolyn Keene was my greatest inspiration for wanting to be a writer. The books that I really liked to read as a younger child were Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Babysitter's Club, Boxcar Children, and Choose Your Own Adventure. I also used to read Tom Swift and Animorphs.I remember that going to the library was a treasured adventure for me in those days. As I got older, I moved on to fantasy books like The Wheel of Time Series. I also liked to read Christian Fiction like Keepers of the Ring Series, by Angela Elwell Hunt and some of Beverly Lewis's stories that focused on Amish communities. I also read books by Francis Rivers. I loved her Mark of the Lion Trilogy so much that I had to purchase it for myself. It sits on its proud space on my bookshelf to this day.

I'm not sure if I'm still going to pursue a career in writing, but it's definitely something that I still enjoy doing. I've been known to keep journals occasionally, and I write lyrics as well as short stories. I started off writing fanfiction when I was about twelve years old, but I've decided to just focus on original fiction more these days.
