Author has written 2 stories for Fantasy, and Romance. All righty, I will finally attempt to write this thing, though I doubt that anyone will find it at all interesting, should they even care to read it. I am a poor English Major currently employed in a job that has nothing to do with my aspirations while desperately trying to write the book I intend to send off to the cruel, cruel world of editors in the hopes of one day seeing it in print. Heir of Mine, the story currently chronicled here, has already made the journey but was unsuccessful and therefore will wait until another day.
I am a LOTR fanatic, mainly of Strider(he's too cool) along with fantasy in general and the good romance, but not the trashy stuff that makes you want to puke and that you know exactly where it's going the moment you pick it up. If anyone notices a correllation between Disney movies and my work, it is not just imagination...my intent was to do what Disney USED to do(notice the emphasis on USED)and take fairy tales and turn them into REAL stories, not just the boring old boy meets girl run into trouble happily ever after mumbo jumbo they are in the original versions. And without some of the gross stuff too(I mean, really, who wants to read about two girls crazy enough to cut off their heel and their toe, respectively, just to fit into a shoe and marry a prince?). Thus the world of Faer was born, along with my recurring character, Cyprus, the wizard cursed to live as long as there is magic in Faer and the one link that will bind all of the stories together. Of the three that exist, only two are completed and I plan to only put Heir of Mine up here for now...eventually I may be persuaded to put Gilly out there as well, we shall have to see.
Now I have started rambling and that is interesting for no one but me. I also induldge in anime--I say indulge because it is an EXPENSIVE hobby and I wish I had never let myself become addicted to watching something with subtitles--along with Buffy/Angel and Alias and all sorts of tv shows I shouldn't kill my brain cells by watching. I am too weird for my own good as well and would like to throttle my imagination when it gets away from me. For now this is all I fear I shall disclose or I shall be writing a book about me.
The story that has recently appeared, Carnellia, will probably change titles, for it was one that I just came up with and I'm not sure I like it. But, anyway, it is an attempt to pay tribute to a computer game I loved when I was younger but changing it enough so it is my own. If anyone has played it, they will most likely recognize the characters initially but that is all they have in common, I assure you, save one name that I just couldn't change no matter how hard I tried. I am not very good at mysteries, either, having tried them several times so bear with me if it's horribly obvious who the murderer is or where it's going. It's really just for fun since I'm stuck in a writing rut and desperately need to do something different. Hopefully someone enjoys it. :):)
